Giac watched as the mysterious Doctor moved towards what looked like .... a blue building? He squinted in the darkness of the street, trying to make sense of the unfamiliar words lettered across the top of the structure. It must be some foreign language that he couldn't read, but he was sure that the words made sense to the Doctor.

He was surprised to see the tall, thin man pull out a key and open the door; somehow, he'd expected a servant to come to the door and usher the Doctor inside. But perhaps this man didn't make use of servants, he told himself, moving closer to the end of the street. And there was something very strange about the building the Doctor had just entered.

This building hadn't been there yesterday; he was positive of that. It couldn't have been built so quickly, certainly not without his knowing about it. There was something very odd indeed about this building -- and the man who had just entered it.

Giac moved forward again, keeping his eyes on the door. It hadn't closed yet, and he wanted to dart through it and be safely inside that building before the Doctor discovered he was there. Once he was inside, the other man would have a harder time ordering him to leave -- or throwing him out. Giac had no intention of letting that happen.

He couldn't say just what it was that attracted him to this mysterious man, but he had enough experience of desire to know that this wasn't something that was just a transient, passing fancy. What he'd felt when he had first seen this man, and then touched him, was something far different from mere desire.

What was it that he'd felt, exactly? Giac frowned, trying to sift through all the feelings that seemed to swirl within him. There had been a tingle that had seemed to go through his entire body, a thrill of .... what had it been? Recognition? Giac wasn't sure, but that was what it had felt like.

Those incredible dark eyes -- he hadn't been able to look away from them. It was as though this man, this mysterious Doctor, had looked into his very soul and pulled something out of him, something that he'd never allowed anyone else to see. He had to see this man again, to find out just why he'd been so shaken by a single touch, a mere look.

He wasn't given to that sort of thing, Giac told himself firmly, peering out from behind a recessed doorway. The door to that strange building hadn't closed yet -- perhaps the Doctor had been so annoyed at his servants not opening it for him that he'd simply forgotten to close it as he went in. Ah, that would make things much easier.

Giac waited another few moments, glancing around the street and then to the open door of that odd building. When he was sure that no one was looking, he stepped from the doorway and moved as unobtrusively as possible to that door, slipping inside and closing it silently behind him.

When he turned to look at the room that he was in, his mouth dropped open, his eyes widening in shock. He couldn't have said just what he expected to see -- but it certainly wasn't the sight that greeted his astonished eyes.

He couldn't move, couldn't breathe, couldn't make himself utter a sound. He simply stood there, trying to take in everything around him, his mouth hanging open in shock. Whatever this place was, it was unlike anything he'd ever seen before, and he wasn't sure in which direction he should look first.

There seemed to be a dozen different corridors leading from the large room that he was in, though after a few dazed moments, Giac could see that there weren't really that many directions that he could choose to go in. But which one would the Doctor have taken? He stood there in an agony of indecision, looking from one corridor to another and hesitating.

Well, this wasn't going to get him anywhere. Squaring his shoulders, Giac moved further into the large room, stifling the urge to run to the door, fling it open, and flee without looking back. He couldn't do that. He had to find the Doctor, had to know what this strange building was, had to know more about this intriguing man and where he had come from.

The largest of the corridors seemed to be rather well-lit, though Giac couldn't discern any candles or sconces about the place. Perhaps they were hidden, he told himself as he set off down the hallway, his heart thumping in his chest.

How was he going to find the Doctor in this building? It seemed cavernous; from what he could tell, it was much larger than it had looked from the outside. Probably a trick of the sunlight in his eyes, he said to himself. Yes, that could be easily explained away. But it certainly hadn't seemed quite this large.

He peered into the first room that he passed, but the Doctor wasn't there. Giac didn't let himself wander; his objective was to find the Doctor before anything else. He was starting to feel distinctly uncomfortable in this place, so finding the other man was a matter of paramount importance, given the way he was feeling.

It was so strange that there were no servants, he told himself, frowning inwardly. Surely a man who seemed to be as civilized as the Doctor would have a bevy of them; it made no sense that this house -- if this was indeed where the other man lived -- seemed to be devoid of anything even resembling servants, or even a butler.

Still, perhaps he was one of those odd types who eschewed too many servants and only kept a few. Yes, that would be one explanation. Giac let out a breath that he hadn't realized he was holding, realizing that he was approaching another room near the end of this corridor.

Looking around the corner of the doorway to his right, a smile spread over his face when he saw the person he'd come looking for. In a state of undress, no less ....

Giac let his eyes roam over the Doctor's nude body, glad that the other man had his back turned for the moment. The Doctor was blissfully unaware of his presence, and that gave him the best of opportunities to study the Doctor objectively from head to toe, at least from the back view. And he had to admit that the view was very nice indeed.

His eyes traveled the length of the Doctor's body, taking in every slender curve. Tousled tawny hair; broad shoulders; small waist; curving hips; a perfectly rounded ass; slender thighs; long slim legs. Now, if only he would turn around, Giac thought, willing the Doctor to do just that, and see him standing here in the doorway.

Of course, having the Doctor see him here would probably mean that the other man would reach for his clothes much sooner than he ordinarily might, Giac thought, feeling regretful at the idea. And he would have to explain just why he was here, which might not be the easiest thing in the world to do when he was an uninvited guest.

But he was sure that he could come up with something -- after all, wasn't he renowned for doing just that? A smile tugged at the corners of his lips as he thought of all the things he could possibly say, knowing that none of them would placate a man like the Doctor. No, it would have to be the truth this time. Nothing less would do.

After all, why shouldn't he tell the truth? The Doctor was the most intriguing -- and beautiful -- man he'd seen in quite a while, and that tingling that had started in his body when they had touched had drawn him inexorably towards the other man. He was unable to stop himself.

That was nothing less than the truth. Giac caught his breath as the Doctor began to turn towards him, his muscles tensing; the moment when he would have to speak to the other man and explain his presence was close at hand.

The look on the Doctor's face when he saw Giac standing there was one of mingled shock, horror, and .... was it his imagination, or did the other man look pleased? That look of expectant pleasure was only there for a moment, but Giac was positive that it had existed. He was determined to bring that look back to the Doctor's face, as soon as he possibly could.

He took a few moments to admire the view from the front, before the Doctor grabbed a shirt and held it up in front of him. Giac was more than pleased with what he saw in those few brief moments; the Doctor was just as beautiful from this side as he had been from the back. He'd definitely not made a mistake when he had followed this man here.

Moving forward into the room, he approached the Doctor, taking the shirt from the taller man's hands and tossing it aside. Giac took the Doctor's face between his hands, his blue gaze locking with those fathomless dark eyes and not looking away. He could lose himself in those eyes, fall into those endless depths forever and never want to come out.

Leaning forward slightly, he pressed his lips against the Doctor's, gently at first, then with more insistence. The other man resisted at first, but Giac could tell the exact moment when he gave in and stopped resisting. There was almost a melting, a surrender that could only be expressed in physicality, never with words.

"Giac ...." The Doctor's voice was barely a breath, so soft that Giac had to strain to hear it. "You shouldn't have followed me."

"I couldn't help myself," the young Italian whispered, placing a gentle kiss to the corner of the Doctor's mouth, then moving his lips to the other man's jawline, nibbling at the tender flesh. "You are the most beautiful and intriguing man I've ever seen. I couldn't simply let you walk away from me. There's too much that is unfinished between us."

"You can't stay here," the Doctor protested weakly, raising his hands as though to push Giac away from him. Giac ignored the gesture, slipping one arm around the Doctor's slim waist and pulling him closer, his other palm against the Doctor's cheek.

"I have no intention of leaving," he whispered, his gaze still locked with those extraordinary dark eyes. "I have never forced anyone to submit to my desires, and I have no wish to start with you. But if you're honest with yourself, Doctor, you know that you feel the same desires that I do."

Slowly, reluctantly, the Doctor nodded. That was all the impetus that Giac needed for another kiss, this one more insistent than the rest, their bodies melding into each other as if they were trying to become one. When he finally lifted his lips from the Doctor's mouth, both men were panting, neither of them in any doubt as to their mutual need.

"Don't deny yourself what you need," Giac said softly, sliding his other arm around the Doctor and letting one hand move down to cup the other man's bare ass. "Let yourself live, Doctor; live each day as though it may be the last. I can promise that you won't regret it."

Almost as though they were one entity, the two men moved towards the large bed only a few feet away, abandoning words in favor of a more physical language. Giac's last thought as the Doctor pulled him down was that this encounter was bound to be different from any other -- and that it would bring him new experiences that he couldn't begin to imagine in his wildest dreams.
