The Doctor leaned over the console of the Tardis, checking the coordinates that told him where they were. Nothing to be worried about; they were in space, but that was a place where he always felt safe. He didn't need to be on a particular planet to be secure.

Ianto was getting used to that too, he was sure. His lover had grown quickly accustomed to being out here amongst the stars; others had taken longer, but Ianto already seemed to enjoy it, not only the trips to other planets, but the mode of transportation.

In fact, he didn't mind many things that other companions had problems with. But that was probably because this young man was his soul mate, the person that he'd always been meant to share all of this with. The person who completed him.

He straightened up with a smile as he felt Ianto's strong arms wrap around his waist from behind; he always loved being touched like this, feeling the reassuring embrace of the man he loved. It was just one more thing that made him feel secure and safe.

"I thought you were in here a terribly long time," Ianto whispered into his ear, one hand moving slowly down the front of the Doctor's body. "I came to see what you were doing."

The Doctor turned his face to nuzzle Ianto's neck, pressing his lips against the pulse throbbing at the base of his lover's throat. "I don't mind that at all, love," he answered with a soft smile. "I was just thinking about you, actually."

"Really?" Ianto raised his eyebrows, smiling as the Time Lord's lips pressed against his flesh. "I was thinking about you, too. Thinking how much I'd like to have you in my arms. So I decided to make those thoughts a reality."

"Ah, so you've simply come in here to seduce me away from what I should be doing!" the Doctor laughed, leaning back against his lover with a contented sigh. "I should have known. You humans can be insatiable when it comes to sex, do you know that?"

"Seduction is an art form," Ianto protested laughingly, his arms tightening around the Doctor's waist. "I'm just working on my technique." He lowered his head to nip at the Doctor's earlobe, whispering into the other man's ear. "It seems to work well on Gallifreyans ...."

"I don't think there's any problem with your technique -- though you may want to work on the talking part," the Doctor told him jokingly, holding back his laughter.

"Ah, so I'm saying the wrong things?" Ianto asked, his voice far too innocent for the wicked grin that was hovering around the corners of his lips. "Tell me, what should I be saying? Sweet nothings about how beautiful you are and how much I want you?"

The Doctor pretended to consider, trying his best to keep from laughing. "Well, that would do, for a start," he said, keeping his tone serious, not letting any of the mirth he was feeling creep into it. "You definitely shouldn't tell me you're 'working on technique.' It spoils the mood."

"Duly noted," Ianto said, a soft laugh slipping out as he raised a hand to turn the Doctor's face to his own. "So I'll just tell you how much I want you, hmmm? And that you're the most beautiful man I've ever seen, of course. Though I think that's a given."

The Time Lord was lost for words for a few moments as he looked into Ianto's eyes. Their words might be jokingly said, but the emotions that lurked beneath the banter were rising, the passion that flowed between them building up.

He'd never known anyone who could bring him to that kind of passion; Ianto had brought out a side of him that he'd never dreamed could exist before he'd fallen into this man's arms.

His eyes closed as Ianto's mouth sought his; the kiss began gently, tenderly, then became stronger and more possessive as it went on. When Ianto finally raised his head, panting slightly, the Doctor found that he could hardly catch his breath.

"I don't think you need to work on your technique at all," he murmured when he could finally form words. "It definitely works on Gallifreyans -- at least this particular ones. I'm sure that it would work on any person you chose to use it on."

Ianto shook his head, his voice soft and husky with desire when he spoke. "There's no one who I want to use those seduction techniques on other than the man right here in my arms," he said, tilting the Doctor's face to his. "My soul mate, the man I love."

He loved hearing Ianto say things like that; while he knew that his young lover was completely devoted to him, it was still nice to hear vocal confirmation of that fact. "There's no one else I would want to seduce me," he answered, his own voice trembling a little.

"Then I think we should continue this in the bedroom," Ianto said, bending to hook an arm under the Doctor's legs and sweep the Time Lord into his arms.

The Doctor let out a soft, surprised gasp, wrapping his arms around Ianto's neck. "Give me a bit of a warning when you're going to do that!" he chided with a smile, settling into his lover's arms as Ianto headed for the corridor that led from the control room to their bedroom.

"But that would spoil the fun of it," Ianto told him, a slow smile creeping over his face. "Though if you really want me to tell you when I intend to literally sweep you off your feet, I'll do it. But I still think it would be less romantic if you knew it was going to happen."

The Doctor pretended to consider his lover's words, laughing as he shook his head. "All right, all right, you win. You don't have to warn me. I like being swept off my feet -- I give you permission to do it whenever the mood strikes you. Without warning."

"Just another part of my wonderful seduction technique," Ianto said, carrying the Time Lord into their bedroom and depositing him on the bed. "Do you still think it needs work? I thought that carrying you in here was a very romantic thing to do."

"Of course it was." The Doctor stretched out on the bed, moving over so that Ianto could lie down beside him. "Romantic and .... dare I say it .... seductive."

Ianto raised a brow at him, struggling to keep a smile from breaking through his mock-serious mien. "You do realise that we're both wearing far too many clothes, don't you?" he asked as he began to unbutton his shirt.

"I'd thought about that, yes," the Doctor murmured, watching in appreciation as his young lover began to shed his clothes. "But I thought it would help with your seduction technique if I let you undress me. Very slowly and carefully. After you're undressed, of course."

"I think that will help my technique a great deal," Ianto told him, moving to the bed to lay down and take the Doctor into his arms. The Time Lord's last coherent thought was that this man needed no help in the art of seduction -- he definitely knew all the right moves.
