Ethan really did have an amazing talent.

Will smiled softly as he leaned his head back and closed his eyes, listening to his boyfriend play. He let all of the day's tensions seep out of him, enjoying the music.

He loved listening to Ethan play. He'd always appreciated soft jazz music; jazz was a part of the rhythm of the city of New Orleans, the place where he'd grown up. Will didn't think that anyone could be raised here and not have an appreciation for this kind of music.

But Ethan's talent took what he was listening to into a whole new atmosphere; his playing was on the level of a concert pianist, not just some musician in a dive bar.

Of course, this wasn't a dive bar. It was an expensive, classy place.

Ethan wouldn't lower himself to play in some smoky dive, and Will knew it. His boyfriend appreciated his own talent, and he nurtured it. He would never exploit his musical gift.

The man he loved was true to himself and to his talent, and Will loved that about him. Ethan was committed to his music in a way that most people weren't committed to anything, not even to their relationships. It was impressive to see, and Will respected him even more for that dedication.

Ethan was a rare man, he thought as he opened his eyes to watch his boyfriend play. And he was the one who was lucky enough to have Ethan in his life.

Sometimes it amazed him to know that Ethan had chosen him. How and why had he gotten so lucky? Will didn't know, but he was glad that he had.

Having Ethan in his life had changed him in so many ways, all of them for the better. He was less stressed now, and he was certain that state of affairs came not only from having someone in his life, but also from the music that Ethan constantly showered him with.

How could he not respond in a favorable way to hearing his love play? There were times when he would lie in bed at night and listen to those mellifluous notes.

Hearing Ethan play piano in the dark was a sensual experience.

Even now, sitting here in the club, he could close his eyes and lean his head back and feel a sensual languor sweep over him just from hearing Ethan play.

Listening to that seductive sound, he almost wanted to walk over to the piano, bring Ethan to his feet, and lead his lover out of the club and along the sidewalk to their house. He wanted to take Ethan to bed, to seduce his boyfriend in the same way that Ethan's music was seducing him.

Well, not in the same way, of course, Will told himself with a soft laugh. In a very different way, actually. But the end result would be the same.

He intended to follow through on that idea when Ethan finished playing tonight.
