Will rolled over onto his back, panting, trying to catch his breath.

He was sure that he'd seen stars, that he'd zoomed to the heavens and actually touched them. Every time he and Ethan made love, the stars seemed within their reach.

"You take me to the stars every time," he gasped, gulping in air after he spoke. He closed his eyes, reaching for Ethan, wrapping his arms around his boyfriend and pulling him close. He needed to keep Ethan near, needed to feel that slim body in his arms.

No one had affected him in the way that this man did. No one took him to the stars like this. No other lover had ever given him the joy that Ethan did.

No one else had taken him to heaven and back.

Ethan was everything he had ever wanted or needed. His life had changed for the better the day that he'd met this man; everything had become brighter, more hopeful.

This was more than love, Will told himself as he held Ethan close against him, stroking one hand through the other man's dark hair, then down his back to rest on the curve of his hip. No mere four-letter word could begin to describe all that he felt for Ethan, all that was in his heart.

He was going to spend the rest of his life with this man. He had no doubt of that. He couldn't imagine himself without Ethan; a life without his love was no life at all.

Maybe they would get married one day. Will smiled at the thought; he had never considered himself the marrying type, but he could see the two of them tying the knot.

He wondered if Ethan would agree with him about that. He'd never thought about them getting married in the time that they'd been together, but now, it suddenly seemed like a wonderful idea. He already felt married to Ethan in his heart, but he had to admit, he'd like to make it legal.

Would he ever gather the courage to get down on one knee and propose? He could see himself doing just that -- and somehow, the mental image looked right.

He'd love to marry Ethan. He'd do it right now, if he could.

But that would come later, when they'd been together longer. For now, it was enough that they could take each other to the stars every time their bodies joined.

Will had never expected to have anyone like this in his life; he had never thought that he'd find the person who would complete him in every way. For now, just having that was enough. Just being here with Ethan in the dark, holding him, touching him, loving him.

"I love you." Ethan's soft whisper came to him out of the darkness; the words, so simple and loving, made him smile. They were words that he loved to hear.

"I love you, too," he whispered, his eyes closing as sleep claimed him.
