Forever is a long time. A lot longer than Reid had ever cared to imagine. The word forever was not even in his vocabulary up until recently. Actually, Reid had not even been the one to bring the word up, Morgan had.

"For everlasting time," Morgan had read, all smiles and easy going attitude. Reid figures that as a child Morgan's sister's must have forced him to read fairy tales, or something of the sort. Though, as amusing as it was to watch him, Reid could not stop that affectionate smile from spreading to the corners of his own mouth.

Reid had not meant to snort as loudly as he did, or stand as defensively as he had. Really, he hadn't. That didn't, however, mean that Morgan hadn't caught onto his stance, or his sudden change in behavior.

"What, do you think that's funny?" he had questioned, eyebrow raised and eyes dead set on Reid as they filed the last of their paperwork, or at least Morgan did. Reid had finished a half hour prior, and was simply waiting on his fellow colleague. The offers to help having been vehemently denied.

"The idea that anything can sustain forever is...well, preposterous," Reid had spoke, fingers dwelling over the hem of his wool stitched sweater, awkward. Reid had learned the hard way as a child that forever did not exist.

As a child, Reid had thought his parents would be together forever, but that obviously did not happen. Reid's father had just up and left one morning, and while the man had his reasons for going away, it had obviously left his son with a nasty emotional scar.

Reid doesn't think he ever believed in anything lasting forever again after that point. Especially as he grew and evolved, and the knowledge he had obtained expanded at an impressive rate.

Reid was quickly drawn out of his musings as Morgan snapped his last case file closed. The older agent did not expand any further into the conversation, choosing instead to push his chair in and reach for his coat. Reid felt quite relieved that he didn't want him to elaborate his reasoning behind not comprehending the concept of something lasting to the end of time. The subject could be uncomfortable, to say the least.

"You know, if you keep waiting for me, people are going to start talking."

"Let them," was Reid's simple response, if people wanted to talk about them, then they should have their right to do so. It did not bother him, and by the ever increasing and ever endearing smile on Morgan's face, he did not seem to mind all that much as either.

"I feel like taking a walk, kid."

"At this hour?"

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" sometimes it seemed as though Morgan made absolutely no sense, but then Reid would think he didn't have to, and that he wouldn't complain so long as Morgan still wanted his company. The 'walk' they took led them booth to a familiar pizza parlor they often frequented. Partly due to the fact that it was open past ten o'clock, and partly because they offered good pizza. That, or they were both just starving. In any case, Reid didn't mind.

"Here you go, boys. Hot, fresh and waiting just for you," announced Jenny before they even stepped all the way inside. Jenny was the owner of 'Frank's Pizza', ironically there was no man named Frank who worked there, and the elder woman in her mid to late fifties would never tell where exactly the name stemmed from.

"Aw, Jenny. If my heart didn't already belong to genius here, I would marry you," Morgan spoke, and though it would not be the first time Morgan had talked about Reid in this manner, it certainly did not stop the blush from staining his fair cheeks.

"Well, he's a very luck man. So are you, Mr. FBI."

"Of course I am," Morgan adds as Reid mutters a polite 'thank you' in her wake as they both make their move to the furthest booth, as though there was any need for privacy. The place was practically empty with the exception of Jenny, and Mr. Robert's, the man was a notable insomniac who only ate at this hour. It was the same booth they always sat in, Morgan to the left, Reid to the right. There was no other way about it. The same booth Reid had been sitting in when he had so deftly decided that he had come to love Morgan. That was a moment in his life that he would never forget as well, something he was glad to remember, something that had equally affected his life, but this time in a positive manner.

"So, what's up with you and this forever thing?" he questions, mouth slightly full as he attempts to swallow the last stubborn bit of his pizza. Reid lets out a deep sigh, and really, he's begging to think it's a rather annoying habit to have, especially in quiet establishments such as the one he's currently in.

"I don't know...it's just always seem rather ridiculous to me," he attempts to explain, but by the way Morgan's brow line increases, he isn't doing such a good job at it.

"What about your own personal forever?"

"Huh?" Reid had never heard of such a thing before, and it took him back as he staggered slightly to take a sip of his drink, otherwise forgotten in the conversation.

"Okay, how do I explain this? Like, a forever that isn't till the world ends, but till your end, till you die. Your own personal forever," Morgan finishes, but Reid couldn't part his eyes away from him. Why hadn't he ever thought of something like that before, and why had Morgan?

Obviously, it was important to him. Why, Reid couldn't bring himself to understand, but it was. It held some significance that Reid couldn't quite place, but for Morgan, Reid would try.

"Personal forever...I guess it makes more since then just plain old forever," Reid mentions, and it must have satisfied Morgan for the time being, a sloppy, worn out grin coming to his features.

"So, am I in your own personal forever?" Reid questions, a little timid and a lot self conscious.

"You know you are."

"Good," Reid says, pulling out his wallet and wrestling Morgan for the check. Of course it ended with them paying the same amount like always, fifty-fifty.

The cold weather felt good against Reid's skin, and Morgan's hand held tightly with his own felt even better. Though, the thought of 'forever' did hang heavy in Reid's mind the entire way to Morgan's house. There was a lot wrong with that concept, or so he had thought, and a lot seemed to be right with it. Which to Reid, made no sense at all. Sure, he wanted Morgan by his side till whatever end they met, but he was no fool. It was silly to think that anything could last for so long...but it was nice to think about, and even nicer to feel.

Waking up every morning for the rest of his life to that face would be beyond wonderful. Making coffee, and burning dinner for the next thirty or so years seemed ideal, but was something like that possible?

"I don't see why you just don't sell that flat of yours, Spence. It's not like you live there anymore," Morgan says, and it's really true when Reid thinks about it. He did practically live in Morgan's house, all his clothes fit in his closet. Hair care, and other hygienic products next to his in 'their' bathroom, on 'their' sink.

"It's suspicious," is Reid's response, and really, it was. It was one thing to wait for Morgan to finish with his work long after he, himself, had finished, it was another to share the same address all of the sudden.

"What happened to not caring?" Morgan inquired, retrieving a bottle of wine as Reid reached into the wooden cabinet for two glasses, setting them softly onto the table.

"I don't care about what others think. I do, however, like my job, and would like to keep it." There came a deep laugh from Morgan as they both moved to the living room, dropping down onto the couch, but careful not to spill their substance of choice.

"Okay, okay. Keeping our job is a good reason for you not to 'officially' move in just yet, but what about when one of us leaves?" The thought was disconcerting to Reid, why would one of them ever leave the BAU? Reid couldn't imagine going to work anywhere else, let alone Morgan not being there. Reid just couldn't imagine it not being that way, it was suppose to be like this...well, forever.

"Don't get your panties in a bunch, pretty boy. I'm not saying that I'm going anywhere, I'm just saying that one day, we won't be working for the BAU, and one day...we could be each others priority," he says, eyes soft and inviting as Reid sets his half empty glass aside.

"You are my priority," Reid says rather softly, almost shyly as he draws in Morgan's rapt attention. Long fingertips touching lightly to Morgan's cheek as his mouth kisses gently at Reid's now wandering hands. Talking ceases at this point. Wide brown eyes are devoured into a darker pair, and all of Reid's attention is set on undressing the man in front of him as Morgan so politely returns the favor.

There was something almost refreshing in kissing Morgan, lips soft yet their motions remained rough and dominant, the taste slightly sweet in a sense. Whatever it was caused Reid's heart to jump a beat, and for his blood pressure to rise a little bit higher, ears deaf to the rest of the world, and mind set only on pleasing him and being pleased.

Reid's hands glide teasingly over Morgan's back, encasing his shoulder blades as he dragged his nails bluntly downward, causing him to shiver and sigh hotly against Reid's neck.

"You know you drive me crazy when you do that, kid," and Reid did know. The younger agent thrived in making Morgan's body react to his in this way, especially in this way. Nothing was as sensual to Reid then the way Morgan's mouth placed kisses down his lithe chest, or they way his fingertips placed themselves firmly into Reid's pale flesh, soft marks littering his skin for hours at a time.

Nothing was as perfect than this, and nothing felt as right to Reid then when he was with Morgan. Whether it be at work, eating out, or simply watching a movie or two with him on the couch, and while Reid liked sex, especially sex with Morgan, it wasn't everything to him.

"I love you," Reid moans, one leg raised up onto the sofa as Morgan thrusts forward. It was not often that Reid ever declared his feelings for Morgan out loud, or vice versa, but sometimes it slipped between them, and sometimes that was just fine.

"Love you too, Kid," Morgan says, and it's breathy and harsh as he moves in a faster pace inside of Reid. Something about the way he says it causes Reid's breath to completely stop for a moment, and it couldn't have felt better.

"Morgan?"

"Yeah, Reid."

"Why do you believe in Forever?"

"I don't."

"You...don't?" Reid questions, they are well on their way down a familiar street, it is almost ten o'clock at night and Jenny will more than likely have their pizza ready, hot and fresh. Reid stops dead in his tracks, throwing off their usual pace. Morgan catches the hint immediately, walking back towards where Reid has so suddenly stopped, warm hands cupping his face as their eyes connect on an equal level.

"The only thing I believe in is you. You are all I need for the rest of my life. I don't care about the world lasting, I don't care about anything lasting forever, just so long as I have you till I die."

"Your own personal forever?"

"My own personal forever. Now, let's go get some pizza. Jenny hates it when we're late."
