Gwen started it, of course. They were on the way back to the Hub after a mission had taken them to Abergavenny. It had taken them all day to track down what had turned out to be a small piece of metal that had broken off of the International Space Station instead of the alien tech they were expecting. They were all tired, frustrated over the wild goose chase and anxious to get home. So when Gwen suggested playing a game, everyone groaned.

"Oh, come on, it'll be fun!" Gwen exclaimed.

Ianto made a frustrated noise in his throat, and grumbled, "Gwen, the last person I snogged was Jack, Truth or Dare doesn't really work in a moving vehicle, we don't have any alcohol for I Never (and Jack always wins that one anyway), Jack's driving too bloody fast to play I Spy and I'm not wearing any underwear so there's no point in trying to guess the color. Jack, keep your eyes on the road and hands on the wheel!"

The girls both squealed as the SUV momentarily swerved into the other lane and Owen yelled, "Shit, Ianto, are you trying to get us all killed?"

"What are you complaining about, Owen? You're already dead."

"Yeah, but I'd like to keep my undead body more or less intact!" Owen groused. "Talk about pictures I'd like to retcon out of my brain."

"Sorry about that, guys." Jack said sheepishly as he sent an amused glare Ianto's way. Ianto just raised an eyebrow, a faint smile crossing his face. He loved knocking Jack off-kilter like that. The fact that he'd also managed to annoy Owen was just a bonus.

"I wasn't going to suggest any of those games," Gwen stated. "This is one that Rhys and I like to play on long car trips. One person says a line from a movie and the others have to guess which movie it's from. The person that gets it correct has to come up with the next quote."

Knowing they wouldn't get any peace unless they agreed to play, they gave in. The rest of the drive was spent with each person trying to stump the others. It came as no surprise that Gwen stuck mainly to romantic comedies. Owen's movies were all about explosions, fast cars and faster women and Tosh liked fantasy. The two biggest surprises were Jack and Ianto. They were impossible to stump. Action, romance, comedy, drama, horror, mystery, old, new...it didn't seem to matter, they knew them all.

Owen finally gave up in disgust and asked, "Oi! How the hell do you two know all this shit anyway?"

Jack grinned and replied, "I've been around here since before the silent movie era. You know I don't have to sleep much and even I can't have sex all night long, so I have to do something to pass the time." Jack pretended not to hear Ianto's murmured, "Yeah, right."

"Yeah, ok. What about you, Tea-boy?"

Ianto rolled his eyes at the stupid nickname and answered, "As you know, I went to the movies with my Da every week while I was growing up. I worked my way through uni as a projectionist at a theatre. Then, before I joined Torchwood, I worked in a video store in London for awhile."

"You should see his DVD collection," Jack said, ignoring the exasperated glare Ianto was giving him.

"Let me guess, alphabetized?" Tosh's voice was heavy with amusement.

"Eventually." Jack slid an affectionate glance towards his lover.

"What do you mean by eventually, Jack?" Gwen asked.

"First, they are sorted by the year they were released, then by genre, then they are alphabetized."

There was a stunned silence from the three in the back, then they all erupted into laughter. Ianto just rolled his eyes and shrugged, before he allowed a grin to cross his face. He knew it was just friendly laughter, and even he had to admit that he was a bit obsessive about catagorizing things. Of course, that's part of what made him so good with the archives.

As Jack pulled the SUV into the garage, he suggested that they all go to a pub for a couple of drinks before everyone headed home. The idea was met with enthusiasm, and it wasn't long before they were walking across the Plass towards their favorite watering hole. Owen had Tosh on one side with Gwen on the other and Jack and Ianto were walking together behind them. Jack was a little surprised when he felt Ianto's hand slip into his, Ianto wasn't usually demonstrative of their relationship in public. Looking over at him, Jack saw the happy grin on his face and smiled back, lightly squeezing Ianto's hand affectionately.

"Oi, you two! Stop making goo-goo eyes at each other and get over here! You promised to buy the first round, Jack!"

Catching up with the other three, Jack said, "I've seen firsthand what happens when you drink, Owen, and I'm not in a hurry to repeat the experience."

"Yeah, well, neither am I. I'll leave the projectile vomiting to possessed little girls, thank you very much. I just can't resist taking the piss out of Tea-boy here!"

"You know, I've shot you before, Owen, don't make me do it again. Although now I could just get you some nice spackle to cover the bullet hole."

Jack, Gwen and Toshiko all burst into laughter. Owen just glared and stomped off to find them a table. Gwen and Tosh followed after him, leaving Jack and Ianto to get the first round of drinks. As they approached the table, they saw the other three with their heads close together, laughing.

"This can't be good," Ianto murmured.

"What are you three plotting now?" Jack asked, as he handed out the drinks and sat down next to Ianto.

"Revenge," growled Owen.

"Nothing," Gwen said brightly.

"World domination." Everyone did a double-take towards Toshiko. She giggled and took a sip of her drink.

Jack shook his head, "It's always the quiet ones!"

"And never forget it!" Ianto was laughing as he clinked glasses with Tosh, winking at her.

"So what're everyones plans for the weekend, barring alien invasion?" Jack asked, his mind shuddering back from the thought of Ianto and Tosh turning to the dark side and actually trying to take over the world. Knowing those two, they'd succeed. Still, at least there would be decent coffee.

Gwen started going on about a get together with Rhys' family and everyone could tell that she, at least, was hoping for an invasion. Tosh mentioned a foreign film festival that was happening and soon she and Ianto were discussing various films they'd seen.

"I really wish I could still drink," moaned Owen.

Ianto replied, "Owen, remember - alcohol equals puke, which equals smelly mess, which equals nobody likes you!"

"Yeah, yeah, I know. Thanks for rubbing it in, Tea-boy."

There was a small dance floor and, after a couple of drinks, Tosh convinced Owen to dance with her. Jack headed back to the bar to order another round of drinks, leaving Gwen and Ianto alone at the table. Noticing the wistful look she was giving the couples dancing, Ianto got up, held out his hand and asked, "Shall we?" She nodded enthusiastically and they made their way out to the floor.

As they started to dance, Gwen looked up and said, "You know, you're the only one I didn't get to dance with at my wedding, Ianto." She giggled, "When you cut in on Jack and me, I thought you wanted to dance with me!"

"Yes, well, I...." Ianto's voice trailed off.

"I thought you guys looked really cute out there together." Ianto started to look slightly uncomfortable, but Gwen continued anyway, "I never thanked you properly for everything you did for us, Ianto. The dress you picked out was lovely, then taking over the DJ duties, making sure our friends and families were taken care of...our wedding may not have been exactly how I'd always pictured it, but you gave us some good memories along with all the craziness. Thank you, Ianto." She reached up and kissed his cheek. "I'm glad I have you for a friend."

"You're welcome, Gwen. I'm glad I have you as a friend too." Ianto smiled down at her, before twirling her out and back into his arms.

They were both laughing when Jack's voice interrupted them, "Gwen Cooper, quit trying to hit on my date! Don't make me call Rhys and tell him you're dancing with some hot, young guy at a bar."

She turned and cuffed Jack on the shoulder. "Oh, you...I don't know though, I could be tempted if Ianto would look at me twice!"

Ianto grinned and winked at her, "Just let me know when and where, and I'm all yours."

"Hey, you're only supposed to have eyes for me!" Jack laughingly pouted. "With your permission, Gwen, I'd like to cut in and have a talk with your countryman here...remind him who the boss is."

Gwen headed back towards the table as Ianto stepped into Jack's arms.

"It's after hours, Jack. I think you know who the boss is right now." Jack shivered a bit, remembering that look from the first night he'd met Ianto. The look that had tempted him to just put a bullet in the weevil's head and push the young man up against the tree he'd been leaning on and fuck him right then and there.

"Oh, cheeky, Mr. Jones. Not that I'm complaining, but what's with the new attitude?" Jack's voice was husky with desire.

Ianto looked straight into Jack's bright blue eyes and said, "Everyone I care about knows that we're in a relationship, Jack. I could care less what the rest of the world thinks. I'm tired of hiding who I am...who we are." With that, he closed the distance between them and covered Jack's lips with his own.

Owen looked up right at that moment and saw Ianto kissing Jack. "Did an alien take over the tea-boy while we weren't looking?' He asked.

"What? Why....Oh!" Gwen looked back out to where she'd left Ianto and Jack. "Good for Ianto."

She could feel the looks the other two were giving her and rolled her eyes. "Look, I know you think I have some kind of crush or something on Jack, but I don't. Maybe, when I first joined, yeah, but not anymore. Ianto and I got pretty close while Jack was gone and we had some really good talks. I'd never realized how close they actually were. I've been watching them since Jack came back and they are so right for each other, they make each other happy. Haven't you guys noticed?"

Surprisingly, Owen was the first one to agree. "Yeah, Ianto said something when he was trying to teach me how to make coffee. I was being a total shit and made a comment about him shagging Jack. He told me that it wasn't like that between them. I've just never seen him be so...open about it before."

Tosh had been quiet until that point, but she spoke up at that, "I think we're finally getting to see the real Ianto. He kept himself hidden from us for so long and so much has happened to him. He's been coming out of his shell more and more the last few months. Maybe he's finally comfortable with us to really open up and just be Ianto. I hope so anyway, he's like the little brother I never had and I'm so glad to see him happy."

Out on the dance floor, Jack pulled back a little from their kiss, "Ianto?"

"Hmmm?" Ianto looked at him with passion-glazed eyes.

"You big stud. Take me to bed or lose me forever."

Ianto chuckled and replied, "Well, we can't have that happen, now can we?" And he pulled Jack out into night and towards the Hub.

"Huh," Owen said, "Guess the next rounds' on me."
