Summary: It was no secret that Captain Jack Harkness liked his candy.

It was no secret that Captain Jack Harkness liked his candy.

He liked the candy that Toshiko had bought him for Christmas. Soft and full of caramel, they were fun to eat but even more fun to throw at Owen.

He liked the candy that supposedly was meant for Myfanwy- despite his insistence that it wasn't. It reminded him of home, the 51st Century although none of his team dared to ask why.

He liked the tubs of revels Owen often brought into work. His favourite unsurprisingly were the coffee flavoured ones.

He liked the candy necklaces Gwen had told him about, and would often wear one to work although it annoyed the hell out of everybody.

He liked the giant chocolate bunnies that Martha had sent him for Easter and had eaten all six of them in one afternoon before sending the team out on a field trip to Morrison's for some more.

He liked the creamy Belgium Delights he had received one year from a mysterious admirer and the Crunchie Nougats he had won in a raffle in Gardener's World.

He liked the candies you would never get bored of- like Drumsticks and Smarties.

He liked the ones that were expensively dressed up in boxes and ribbons and the ones you would skip your dinner for, just to gorge on them later.

In fact, there weren't many types of candy that Jack wouldn't eat.

He did, however, have one type of candy which he liked better than any of the others.

Jack's favourite candy was both fun and mysterious, caffeinated and rebellious, chocolaty, smooth and creamy, nougaty, crunchy and worth skipping several meals for.

Above all, Jack's favourite candy was extremely well dressed and he would never ever get tired of it.

Plus, his candy made the best coffee Captain Jack Harkness had ever tasted. And that was good enough for him …
