Ianto closed his eyes as he saw Jack entering the room. He couldn't control the feelings that surged through him every time he saw him.

He'd never imagined in all of his live that he'd feel this way about anyone. He thought that when he was with Lisa that that was it- as good as it got. But it wasn't. Never in all of his life had he wanted someone so intensely that his whole body ached for him. Never before in his live had he felt such a rush in the simple nearness of another person.

At first he'd convinced himself that it was just Jack's way. He had that affect on everyone. Jack oozed sex appeal in a way that no one else did. He brought life into people's veins… and yet he didn't see that hunger and desire that he felt in anyone else's eyes. He didn't imagine that anyone else had dreams about him every night and fantasised about him in the day. No, it wasn't just Jack. It was what he felt for Jack.

In the end he'd succumbed to his feelings and it was the most amazing night of his life. Filled with passion and relieved tensions. It was then that he'd know that there was no going back. He'd laugh about it one day and say 'once you've been in Jack, you'll never go back'; and it was true. He didn't want to be with anyone else now. Only him. Only Captain Jack Harkness.

Jack eased himself into the bed next to Ianto and turned on the lamp. He studied Ianto's face- his closed eyes with their soft eyelids, his supple lips…

His eyes wandered down onto his exposed chest- to the sharp lines depicting the bones in his shoulder, to the small line of hair rising up to his navel. There was something so very beautiful about him that Jack just could not deny. He'd seen it first when he'd kissed him back to life. Something had stirred inside of him that he didn't even know existed.

His hand hovered over Ianto's cheek; how much he wanted to caress him but he held back. He did not want to disturb him- he looked so peaceful, so innocent. He couldn't believe that he was doing this, not he, Captain Jack Harkness. Long-term relationships were not for him. He couldn't do it because in the end it would always mean him being left behind. But no matter how much he'd tried to stop it it'd happened now. They weren't serious, not really, but that wasn't how he felt. Inside of him a fire burned for Ianto, a blazing inferno that would just not go out.

He pulled his hand back and turned away from him. He felt for the switch and shut off the light plunging them into complete darkness.

Moments passed before Ianto finally opened his eyes and started across at Jack, his body bathed in the milky moonlight. There was so much he'd been needing to say and it was only now that he felt that the moment was right. When Jack wasn't listening.

'Rwy'n dy gari di,' Ianto whispered. I love you.

It was only once he heard Ianto's breathing grow heavier that Jack smiled to himself and whispered; 'me too.'
