"Perfect. Just wonderful," Ianto groused as he tossed the large flame-thrower towards his immortal lover. "We could've been home, cuddled in front of the hydro-fusion fireplace. Hot coffee, soft cushions, warm skin..."

"Ianto, behind you," Jasyn Hastings, sometimes known as Captain Jack Harkness, directed calmly while prepping the flame-thrower for use.

The exasperated Time Lord swung around and used his high-powered stun gun to reduce the alien snowman to a puff of steam that dissipated in the cold, winter air. Hearing the excited laughter of his lover behind him, he turned to see the Time Agent eradicate a whole line of snowmen with scorching flames.

Rolling his eyes at Jasyn's heroics, Ianto joined the fight, continuing his rant. "We could be practicing getting you pregnant, or actually getting you pregnant, but no," he bitched. "You had to invite the apocalypse by deciding that we needed to celebrate an old fashioned, Earth "family' Christmas."

"I thought it would be nice," Jasyn pouted.

"`Nice'," Ianto snorted. "Nice is you stretched out in front of the fire with a strategically tied ribbon or bow; nice would be a holiday trip to the Lotus Nebula or maybe the Vegas Galaxy."

"Mistletoe, fairy lights, hot chocolate with marshmallows, presents under the tree," Jack listed, continuing to obliterate the attacking snowmen. "All those things are very nice, too."

"True," Ianto agreed, quickly typing commands into the targeting computer of the laser canon they'd liberated from the snowmen. "Taken individually, they are all very pleasing items. When you put them all together in a celebration type thing and add in someone related to the Doctor, it's like an open invitation to any passing invading force saying, 'Hello, here we are. Come invade us!'

He looked up at the sudden lack of screaming, laser fire, and shouts to see that the last of the snowmen on the ground had been defeated. Exchanging a triumphant grin with Jasyn, Ianto pressed the ignition on the canon and stepped back.

As they watched the laser fire into the atmosphere and the invading ship explode into nothingness, Ianto felt Jasyn's arms wrap around him from behind. He shivered as his lover's lips brushed against his ear.

"Now, what was that you were saying about ribbons tied in strategic places?"
