Ianto sat at his desk in the Torchwood offices, chin propped on his hand. His mind hadn't been on his work all day; the only thing he'd been able to keep in the forefront of his mind was the way that the Doctor had looked when he'd left the apartment this morning. He'd left his love lying in their bed, looking so tempting that Ianto had seriously considered staying at home for the rest of the day and not leaving the bedroom.

But no -- duty had called, and the Doctor had assured Ianto that he would be all right alone in the apartment for a day. So the young man had taken himself to the office, albeit reluctantly.

Last night had been .... a little strange, Ianto thought to himself, the beginnings of a scowl crossing his handsome face. It wasn't that sex with the Doctor was ever bad, he hastened to add to his thoughts. But it had seemed that the Gallifreyan had been a little restless afterwards, as though he couldn't stay still.

That was very unlike how the Doctor had been after the first few times they'd made love, he thought, his worry escalating. Was it something he had done, something that the Doctor might not have liked but that the Time Lord didn't want to mention? Or was it just his imagination, a prime example of his tendency to look for problems where there were none?

Ianto went over the night before again and again in his mind, replaying everything he'd said and done, before finally sighing and shaking his head, leaning back in his chair with his hands clasped on the desk in front of him. If there was something wrong with what he was doing, he'd just have to ask the Doctor about it.

But how did he go about asking the Gallifreyan about his satisfaction -- or lack thereof -- with their sex life?

Jack's voice filtered through the outer office, and Ianto looked up, another slight frown creasing his brow. Jack. He was the Doctor's former lover -- well, in a way. Of course, he'd never been in the position of being the dominant partner over the Doctor -- but he did know a lot about the Time Lord from the time they had spent together.

Ianto went to the door of his office, catching Jack's eye and raising an eyebrow at him. The other man ambled over to the door of Ianto's office, giving him a questioning look. "Something you need to see me about, Ianto?"

The younger man nodded, catching his bottom lip between his teeth. "Could you .... close the door, please? It's personal." For some reason, he didn't want to tell Jack more than that.

Jack complied, closing the door and then settling into one of the chairs. He looked up at Ianto expectantly, still wearing that questioning expression.

"So, what is it?" His voice was casual, conversational.

Ianto swallowed. He wasn't sure just how to talk to his former lover about the man he was currently having a torrid relationship with -- especially as that former lover had also been involved with the man in question.

"I .... I wanted to ask you something about the Doctor."

Jack sat back, a small smirk curving his lips. "Oh? Trouble in paradise?"

Ianto felt a flush moving up his face, staining his cheeks. "Nothing of the sort. You know how I feel about him."

"If you're thinking that he doesn't feel the same way about you, then you're wrong." Ianto looked at Jack in surprise. That was something he hadn't expected to hear. He'd expected Jack to discourage the relationship, not support it.

"He's unswervingly loyal to the people he loves," Jack continued, studying Ianto's face as he spoke."He might not always be able to say that he loves somebody, but believe me, if he does, then you know it. He shouldn't have to tell you that he loves you, Ianto. He's the kind of man who'll show it in his actions."

"I don't doubt how he feels about me," Ianto said, shaking his head. "This is more of a .... personal question."

"Personal?" Now Jack looked confused. "Exactly what did you want to ask me about him?"

Ianto cleared his throat again, feeling as if his tongue wouldn't move properly. "I .... He ...." He coughed, then took a deep breath, trying again. "The last few times ...." The blush was more intense now, spreading across his face. It fet as if even his hair was blushing.

"Ianto, just spit it out," Jack sighed. "I can't imagine anything going wrong between you two. You're meant to be together if anybody is."

"The last few times we've had sex, I don't think he's been .... satisfied," Ianto blurted out. Now the blush felt as though it was flaming out of his face and lighting up every corner of the room.

Jack nodded, not looking surprised. "It only takes him a few days."

Ianto looked bewildered, his brow creasing yet again as he looked over at Jack. "What do you mean? What only takes him a few days."

"Ianto." Jack leaned forward in his chair, a smile on his lips. "Think about who you're having sex with. Think about what he is."

"He's .... half-Gallifreyan, half-human," Ianto said, his confusion growing. "His physiology is no different from a human male. I don't understand what you mean."

"No, he's not anatomically different. All the same boy parts in the same places." Jack's brows rose, a sure sign that he was about to impart what he considered vital information to Ianto. "But have you thought about the differences in his physical needs?"

"What do you mean?" Ianto's voice had sharpened, the frown in his voice as well as on his face now. "Don't even suggest that I can't satisfy the man I love."

"I'm sure you can." This time, Jack's smirk was even more knowing. After all, he'd been more than satisfied with Ianto when he'd been the dominant in their relationship. "But do you realize that the more he gets -- the more he needs?"

Now Ianto not only looked belligerent, but completely confused.

"Ianto." Jack sighed, shaking his head. "I can't believe you haven't discovered this yet. The Doctor is multi-orgasmic. And besides that -- he's Gallifreyan. His body has no refractory period after an orgasm. Do you really think that making love to him once or even twice in a night is going to satisfy him completely?"

"You mean ...." Ianto snapped his open mouth shut. "For fuck's sake, I can't go over and over! I'm not a jackhammer!"

This time, Jack didn't hold back his amusement. "Ianto, that's what vibrators are for. Introduce the Doctor to a few of those -- you'll have a much more satisfied Time Lord."

Ianto couldn't look Jack in the eye; it was too embarrassing to have his boss and former lover tell him what his current lover needed. He should have known, should have guessed, he told himself. But how could he have known?

"Thanks," he mumbled, feeling that he owed Jack something for opening his eyes. "I'll have to do something about that."

"Just talk to him, Ianto." Jack's voice was softer, the teasing note out of it. "He loves you. You love him. It's not hard to communicate with the man you love. Just be honest with him -- ask him what he needs. He'll be only too happy to tell you."

Ianto nodded, managing a smile. Jack got up from his chair, going to the door and starting to open it. Before he did, he looked back at Ianto.

"You won't get any sleep tonight. Believe me, he can come more times in a night than you can count."

He was out of the door before the blush could creep over Ianto's face again.

Vibrators. Ianto could feel a thrill of anticipation flow through his body. He could already imagine just what he would be doing tonight .... The thought of the Doctor moaning and writhing under him was already making his heart race and his dick harden.

The young man pulled his day planner to him, circling the date in red pen. He'd obviously have to make a trip out to a boutique before the day was over.

And avoid Jack's knowing smirk when he left the office with more eagerness than usual.
