The first face he saw was the last one he wanted to, complete with the usual lascivious smirk.

“What’s new, Pussycat?”

“Thought I was dead,” Ianto commented mildly, taking in his surroundings, clearly medical, and even more clearly not of Earth, at least not in the 21st Century.

Captain John shrugged.

“Yeah, well…you can grill the medical boys about that if you like, or take it for the opportunity it is.”

“Opportunity for what?” he asked.

“Welcome to the Time Agency, Ianto Jones. That’s assuming you’ve learned your lesson about trusting Jack Harkness.”

Ianto didn’t hesitate.

“Never did. Never will.”
