Ianto stood rooted to the lift, staring helplessly at Jack below. Jack’s eyes, wide and scared, were fixed on him.

Memories of the last time he’d been forced onto the lift flooded him. He’d had to watch someone else he’d loved left to meet their death then.

I can survive anything.

Knowing Jack could survive made this no easier.

Jack had bodily forced him onto the lift (like before), but then had kissed him so hard, so desperately, that it thoroughly chilled Ianto.

I’ll come back; I always do.

He reached down to a suddenly-blurred Jack.

Please, Jack. Survive this.
