Standing there in the doorway, Ianto Jones look on at a life that he didn't really live. All around his empty, desolate flat are pictures of Lisa's smiling face and Jack in his period clothes. Boxes of things he never had time - or the energy - to unpack and a bleeding heart full of memories he could not escape. Memories of betrayals, both his own and others.

He wondered what his father would think of him now. He had changed much since the eight year old boy so avidly listening to his father's every word. He wondered what Lisa would think? Would she agree with his actions? Would she call him a traitor and pathetic? What did Jack think of him? Did he want Ianto's love? Or was it simply there, something that existed and he just accepted?

What did he think of himself?

Sometimes Ianto couldn't answer that last question. His head so filled with doubts and memories and confusion and emotions. But today he could answer it as he placed Lisa's smiliing face in the chest that contained his last corporeal memories of her. He knew that today he was sad that he had become who he was. Today he regretted his actions, but accepted that he could never have acted any differently. Today he believed in Jack's affection and hoped that it would be enough. Today he was letting go and moving on.

Today was just another day. Today was the last day.
