'Most people would be looking out over the sea' Jack said, leaning on the wall beside Ianto. This high above street level, the wind was loud enough to cut out all sound of his approach. If Ianto was startled, he gave no sign. Jack noticed with delight that the wind had ruffled his hair.

'I'm a valleys boy, Sir. What would I look across the channel for? Better this than a hazy view of England.' Ianto's eyes never left the hills rising behind Cardiif like tall green waves topped with rusty bracken foam. Above, heavy grey clouds rolled over Wales.
