Speed sat on the sand, his arms wrapped around his legs as he watched the waves crash against the beach. He felt a warm blanket draped across his shoulders. He looked up to see his lover smiling at him.

“Tom told me what happened.” Horatio sat down next to him.

“Why do I let them get to me?” Speed asked.

“Because they are you’re parents and all children want their parents to love and be proud of them.” Horatio looked out over the ocean.

Speed laid his head on his lover’s shoulder. “I was dead inside when I came here.”

The redhead held him close. “The person you were in New York is gone. You were reborn the man you are now. And that is the man I love with everything that I am.”
