He had heard the song in some store while shopping. It said everything he felt for his boss, Horatio Caine. He searched it out and bought it, played it at night when he dreamed of those beautiful blue eyes.

He kept his love for Horatio a secret for months, not wanting to ruin their friendship. There were days he would find himself getting lost in the depths of Horatio’s blue eyes. They were filled with compassion for the victims and their families. filled with pain for those that he couldn’t help.

Then one day they turned on Speed. “Why?”

Speed looked up, he should have known nothing got past Horatio. He smiled and simply answered.

Cause I never saw blue like that before. Across the sky, Around the world.
