Title: Let Love Be Known
Author: Shawna
Email: smkraus1@juno.com
Website: MakeBelieve Archive and Beyond Canon Archive
Permission to archive: Yeah sure, if I never said yes to you before then I won't mind knowing about it though.
Pairing: Gil Grissom/Greg Sanders
Rating: FRM, mostly cuz...um...no real reason, it was just the first one I could think of especially seeing that this short story is *not* adult...Though part of me wishes it was...Maybe one day I'll make this story longer and more of a plot and give the boys lots of sex...Maybe...
Summary: After a car wreck, Greg finds that love can be found at the oddest moments...
Warnings: Not beta'd so this will probably be awful, but I tried not to make too many mistakes. Plus this is my first attempt in this fandom, I normally write NCIS, Ats, Btvs, but never CSI, I have some future plans though and will be asking for a beta when that time comes.
Notes: This doesn't take place during any certain season or ep. There is the mention about the one with the lab exploding but not the main point.
Another Note: It has no real plot and it's a sweet almost fluffy bunny...and oh, again I wish to tell you how sorry I am if this story is one of the most awful stories you've ever read...Please forgive me...Oh and my time chip is broken so the date is really wrong, again sorry to expensive to fix. Anyhoo...

Greg Sanders felt awful yet at the same time oddly enough...

...numb...

Maybe it was the painkillers in his body doing their magic...Their special kind of mojo. The type of mojo that tried to hide the pain by numbing everything...

What could be said for the fact that he didn't even have to open his drowsy eyes to know he was in the hospital?

Sheesh!

You'd think maybe just once he wouldn't have to be here! Yet it was better to be here then in a Corner's body bag.

He wrinkled his brow trying to remember.

He had been driving home when he'd stopped at the red light and a short time later it had turned green. So he had taken his foot of the brake and began to move. Another car must have ran the red light, perhaps over the speed limit. For Greg could remember a sudden instant blur...A loud crunch of metal, glass breaking into jagged pieces and he could recall pain jarring through his body before his world became dark...

Greg gave a soft moan it was then he realize someone was in the room with him. Someone held his hand. Tenderly, almost lovingly. Warming and comforting his own cold pale hand.

"Greg?" A familiar masculine voice spoke kindly. Softly as if breathing into his ear.

Greg turned his face towards the voice knowing instantly his face was close to Grissom's. He slowly opened his eyes, blinking rapidly to force his eyes to get use to the sudden light. Greg tried to speak but his mouth was so dry it took a moment before he could whisper. "Hey."

Grissom lifted his other hand to gently caress his face. "You really must stop doing this to me, Greg."

"Doing what?" Greg whispered confused after swallowing hard. Wondering if he should ask for some water, yet right now he was taking comfort of his hand in Grissom's.

"You need to stop making my heart feel like it's some to a complete stop when I'm told how close to death you...you let death get too close to you."

Greg's eyes widened in surprise. He was sure it was the drugs making him hear things. "You actually care?"

Gil gave him a stunned look as if he'd just heard Greg tell him he didn't know the difference between a bee and a fly.

"Of course I care, Greg, more then care actually. If you need me to be totally honest with you, I care. I will always care and..." He took a deep breath, now studying the hand he was holding tight.

"Grissom?" Greg inquired.

Grissom continued honestly, "I've been studying my growing feelings for you for quite some time, trying to understand it, but then I wonder if I should even bother seeing that...there is always that strong chance that you might not even share it."

"But then there is that strong chance that I could. Very strong if we're both on the same page...and I think perhaps we are." Greg hinted softly.

Grissom met Greg's eyes, his gaze intense. "Strong chance that you could?"

Greg could feel himself blush, giving him a small hopeful smile. "Tell me more about what your study revealed."

Grissom nodded, looking very serious, in total scientist mod. "It's inconclusive but it looks and feels like love. There are so many forms and different theories about love, especially when it comes to two men but..."

"Love is love. It can't truly be explained it simply exist. Like air. Like dirt."

"Humans and even animals need it. Yearn for it." Grissom stated. "Some fear asking for it, fearing rejection. for it hurts when one's love is rejected, so some would think it better to hide it or pretend it wasn't there..."

"But it is there." Greg told him as he moved his head sharply not giving a damn about the sudden pain reminding him that he had been in a recent car wreck. All he cared about was capturing Grissom's lips. Which he did.

Revealing everything. The love he himself felt for the wonderful man he was kissing. Dreamt about kissing. Dreamt about loving. Was actually becoming a reality. What a wonderful reality indeed!

It was as if a electrical current shot through him. Starting at his lips and plunging all the way to his feet. The kiss was better then any dream. Any fantasy.

It was a hot seeking kiss one that Grissom started to take control of. A wave of desire, carrying Greg away on a tide of hunger he'd never before experienced. It was a strong beautiful need. He heard Grissom moan. then he truly realized for the first time what true pure passion was. it had to be shared. The need, the desire it had to be equally mixed.

When they reluctantly ended the kiss, they stared into each others eyes.

"Wow." Greg whispered huskily. In complete total awe.

"Exactly." Grissom answered right back, his tone letting it be known he too had been seriously effected. His eyes were a light with desire, love and a true pure wonder before they fell upon a dark ugly swollen bruise upon Greg's cheek. Worry began to creep into those gentle intelligent eyes.

"I really should get the doctor now that you're awake." Gil told him softly as if sharing a secret.

A wide mischievous smile formed before answering, "I'm not into threesomes."

Grissom looked shocked for a moment before he laughed, "You know I didn't mean that." Gil's laughter faded from his face, becoming serious. "I don't ever want to share you with another, you need to know that."

"Good! I want to be only yours." Greg told him with love shining in his eyes.

"Greg, I do love you."

"Love you too. Maybe we should start seeing each other, you know, go on dates and stuff. Do boyfriend and boyfriend stuff."

Grissom gave a charming smile. "I hear there is a fascinating 'Bugs of the Amazon' documentary coming out soon."

"Oh...Um, yeah, that sounds..." Greg hesitantly tried to find the right words, but could only think of a lie. "Cool."

"There will also be bugs in the documentary that eats human flesh and shows it all in glory wonderful graphic detail." Grissom told him with a smile, knowing that he won Greg to the idea of 'Bugs of the Amazon' as Greg's eyes danced with excitement.

Greg wasn't lying as he stated, "That will be totally *awesome*!"

Grissom chuckled before repeating, "Yeah, it will be totally awesome." He then tenderly kissed Greg's forehead.

Happy that loved revealed itself. That in itself was better then awesome.
