Nick Stokes and Greg Sanders sat in an abandoned booth in their favorite diner.

“Why do we always come here?” asked Nick.

“Because it’s open twenty four hours. We go through this every time we eat here, Nick. Can’t we just enjoy each other’s company?” replied Greg.

“Sorry,” Nick muttered. “This is all happening kind of quick to me, you know? I’m fucking a guy and a coworker.”

“Which is worse?”

“I know which my parents would say.”

“Don’t think about that. Think about this.” Said Greg, reaching across the table and placing his hand on top of Nick’s. “How does this feel? Does this feel wrong at all?”

“Not in the least.”

“Good. That was the right answer.” Said Greg, removing his hand from Nick’s. “Now, tell me all about that case the other night. I heard you and Warrick shouting about it in the locker room.”

“It was nothing, really. The case breaking piece of evidence was this pendant. Well necklace, really. It had this weird blue stone on it. Anyway, I picked it up and tried to see who had dropped it. This guy was walking pretty quick, right? You know, like he felt like he needed to get the hell out of there? He dropped this pendant. I picked it up and followed him. When he finally stopped, he had a gun pointed at this woman and little girl. I figured they were his family. I grabbed the closet thing I could and knocked him out. I was pretty sure he was gonna kill them, G” explained Nick.

“Wow. That’s the most incredible thing I’ve ever heard!” breathed Greg.

“It was nothing.” Muttered Nick.

“I’m sorry, but I’m going to have to kiss you now.”

“Not here, I mean we-“

“Listen, you do something unbelievably brave and sexy, I'm going to have to kiss you. I don't make the rules.”

Nick and Greg stood up and leaned over the table and kissed each other slowly and passionately over the table.

“Wow.” Breathed Nick.

“Wow.” Agreed Greg.

“Wow.” Agreed the waitress, handing the boys their breakfasts. “I won’t be needing a tip this morning, that was plenty for me.”
