Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy SpeedleSpeed remembered the first case the two of them worked on. A young woman had been raped and killed, left in a back alley with the trash.
He remembered how he felt. He had just passed his proficiency exam and was a CSI level one. It was his first really big case. Horatio had let him take the lead. Only stepping in when needed, trusting Speed to take the case home.
In the end they found the killer and sent him to jail for life. Horatio smiled, laid a hand on his shoulder and said good job. Speed looked into blue eyes and smiled brightly.
