Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy Speedle

Speed had categorized each of Horatio’s touches. It was the inner geek in him, he freely admitted this.

There was the ‘Give comfort’ touch. A hand laid on the shoulder a quick squeeze in reassurance.

Then there was the ‘Are you alright?’ touch. A gently touch of fingers on the arm that would move to the shoulder and if it was really bad to the chin to force you to look at him.

He couldn’t forget the ‘I’m not happy’ touch. A tight squeeze between the shoulder and neck, making his point.

There are touches reserved for victims, the ‘I will do what needs to be done’ as he holds the hands of the grieving parents.

The ‘I fight for you’ a gentle touch on the head or nose for the scared children.

Then add on the ones reserved for the criminals. The ‘you don’t want to fuck with me’ touch which is a two handed in the shirt push against a wall, normally reserved for the smart mouth criminal who doesn’t know when to shut up.

And then there’s the touches reserved for Speed. There was the ‘I just want to touch’ touch, when gentle hands slip into dark hair and pulled him close.

And the ‘I want you now’ touch, rough hands pulling at clothes and aching for bare skin.

But Speed’s favorite is the ‘I love you’ touch, a soft caress of fingertips down the back, holding him as they slept.
