Summary: Based on prompt #032 Sunset.

The sky was burning. Nature showed all the colour she had in her paintingbox. Nick raised his head more or less accidental. And gasped slightly. For a few seconds he simply stared at the sky over the Nevada desert. A hand on his shoulder startled him slightly and he turned around to find his boss and lover gaze at him with an almost worried expression in his eyes.

"Nick? You okay?"

He smiled sadly and pointed at the colourful sky.

"The sunset is beautiful, isn't it?"

Then he looked down again at the dead woman lying at his feet.

"Maybe her killer should have looked up just once. Maybe he wouldn't have been able to kill her then."
