Title: Elevator
By: Fran Holland
Paring: Gil/Nick
Summary: Gil and Nick get trapped in an elevator.Nick was excited about the upcoming weekend. He had invited Gil to go camping, and Gil had accepted. This was the first time that they had an entire weekend together since they started seeing each other three months ago. Usually, it was a few stolen hours in the late afternoons before shift and Nick could count on one hand how many times they had actually spent the night together.
This shift was going to drag by, he just knew it. The plans were for both men to go home after the shift and try to sleep to at least 4:00. Nick had everything packed and sitting in the middle of his living room. They were going to Snake Creek. It was a rustic camping area off the beaten path and only four hours away.
He was in the locker room, pulling on his vest, when Sara walked in. Things had been tense with the two of them lately. Nick knew that no one at the crime lab had any idea about his relationship with Gil, other than friendship. Nick was aware that Sara had slept with Gil last year. Gil had told him it was a moment of weakness and the affair had been brief. She had not given up though and continued to call him during off time. Nick had been with him during some of those phone calls. He was jealous, but he did not bring his feeling to work with him. Unfortunately, Sara did.
Sara went right to her locker without even a 'hello'. Nick, trying to be the bigger person, said, "Hey Sara. How's it going?"
"Fine." Sara said flatly. She opened her locker and grabbed her vest and left the room, brushing aside Greg on his way in.
"What have you done to get Sara so pissed at you?" Greg asked, "You didn't, you know, uhm ...?" Greg stopped, embarrassed.
"No, Greg, I haven't had sex with Sara." Nick said sarcastically.
"I didn't mean that, you know." Greg buried his face in his locker so he would not have to look at Nick.
"Hey, man, it's okay. Honest question." Nick knew that Greg had a crush on Sara, so he went easy on him. Besides, he wasn't letting anyone or anything put him in a bad mood. Nick shut his locker and walked out of the locker room.
A few minutes later, the team had gathered in the conference room. Gil sat at the head of the table and gave out assignments. Warrick was on a DB near Henderson, he would probably be busy most of the night on that one. Catherine had an attempted murder at the MGM Grand kitchen. Sara headed out with Brass to interview the parents of a missing teenager. Leaving Nick as the only one with Gil.
"You and I are going on a field trip over to the university to meet with Professor Gadston." Gil said as he stood up.
"Who's he?" Nick asked, as he too stood.
"He was one of my entomology professors. He's teaching a summer course before he heads back to Chicago. He has been conducting some experiments on desert insects and wants me to see his findings. I thought you might want to ride along." Gil smiled. "Interested?"
"Hell, yeah." Nick said grinning. "Let's go."
The men spent the drive talking about the camping trip, Gil loved that Nick was so excited. They arrived at the university and parked in front of a large, five story building. The men got out of Gil's Denali and walked inside. Gil headed for the elevators, pushing the button for the fifth floor. Both men watched the numbers light up in a companionable silence. The elevator door opened and Gil led the way to a door halfway down the hallway.
Gil knocked and the door was opened by a young man in a while lab coat. "I'm here to see Dr. Gadston."
"Sure, come on in. He is in the back. Follow me." The young man turned and headed down a narrow hallway.
Dr. Gadston was bent over a microscope when they entered the room. He turned and smiled at Gil.
"Gilbert, how are you, old boy." He gave Gil a hug and held him out by his shoulders. "Let me look at you. What is that stuff on your face?" He said indicating Gil's beard.
Nick observed his lover and the older professor. Gil was smiling and talking excitedly about his favorite subject. The professor was close to being eighty, if Nick had to guess. Balding and slightly stooped, his lab coat was too big for his small frame. Gil introduced them and Nick shook the old man's hand.
After the introductions, Gil seemed to forget that Nick was there, as the two men continued to talk and compare notes. Professor Gadston motioned for Gil to join him at the microscope. Nick leaned back on a desk and just watched quietly, he did not feel slighted in the least. Gil was in his element, he was smiling and happy. Nick loved to watch him like this.
The younger man motioned Nick out into the hallway. "They'll probably be at this for hours. You want a Coke?"
"Yeah." Nick followed him into a little break area. He opened a small refrigerator and pulled out two Cokes. He handed one to Nick and popped the tab on his. The lights flickered and Nick looked up.
"It's been doing that all night. We've called an electrician." Said the younger man.
They sat down at a small table and Nick asked about the younger man's work. Soon they had exhausted all polite conversation, so Nick stood and said, "I'll just go see how they're doing." He was almost to the door, when the lights went out completely. It was pitch black and Nick just stood completely still. The younger man flicked his lighter and they made their way back to the lab.
"You okay in here?" He asked, holding up the lighter.
"We're fine, David. Thank you." Dr. Gadston voice came out of the darkness. The lights came back on suddenly. Nick waited for his eyes to adjust. Gil smiled at him.
"We were about done anyway, Nick." Gil said. Turning to Dr. Gadston, he said, "I send you my findings by email and maybe we can get together for dinner next week."
"I'd like that Gilbert." The two men shook hands and Gil motioned for Nick to follow him out.
Once they were in the elevator, Nick said, "Gilbert?"
Gil grimaced and pushed the button for the ground floor. "Don't go there, Nick."
Suddenly, the elevator jolted to a halt and the lights went out. Nick lost his balance and fell up against Gil. Gil's arms automatically wrapped around him.
"You okay?" Gil asked, his arms remained loosely around his lover.
"Yeah, I think so." Nick hands rested on Gil's waist. He leaned in to whisper, "Ever done it in an elevator?"
"Nicky. We can't...." Gil did not get any further because Nick's mouth came down on his. Gil groaned and his mouth opened to accept Nick's tongue. Nick could feel Gil harden and his hand moved down to rub his cock. Gil gasped, "Nicky, stop...."
Nick did not answer, he just unzipped Gil's pants and pushed them down off of Gil's hips. Nick's tongue continued to assault Gil's mouth, leaving him breathless and hot. His hand gripped Gil's cock and stroked roughly.
"Do you want me to suck your dick? Do you want to come in my mouth?" Nick whispered into Gil's ear.
"Yes, God, yes." Gil's hands came up and lightly pushed Nick's shoulders down. Nick knelt and took Gil's cock deep into his throat. Gil moaned, "Nicky, God, that feels so damn good. So fucking good." His hands moved through Nick's silky hair and imagined what Nick looked like when he gave him head. Not being able to see his lover was a very sensual experience.
Nick's hands were roaming over Gil's balls and thighs. He squeezed Gil's balls.
"You're going to make me come, baby. Is that what you want? You want my cum?"
Nick's answer was to rub one of his fingers over Gil's tight entrance and nip slightly on the head of Gil's cock. Gil's knees were so weak, he did not know how he was going to remain standing. His hand reached out into the darkness to find the wall of the elevator.
Nick had slowed down and was licking him up and down. "Nicky, I want to come. Please, please."
Nick took him in his mouth again and applied a lot of suction, while his finger pressed into Gil's tight entrance.
"I'm coming. Oh, yes. Coming, yesyesyes." Nick felt the first spurt of hot, salty cum and swallowed quickly. He continued to gently suck until Gil's cock was soft in his mouth. He kissed the slit and stood up. Gil pulled him close and thrust his tongue into Nick's mouth to taste himself.
"You are so good to me." Gil said softly, his forehead resting on Nick's.
"I know." Gil sensed Nick's grin and laughed. He took a deep breath and kissed him once more. He broke the kiss and pulled up his pants that had fallen to his knees. He buttoned up and tucked his shirt back in.
A loud hum startled both men and the lights came back on, the elevator jolted and once again started to descend.
Nick grinned at Gil and said, "Perfect timing."
"You may want to zip up your zipper, Boss." Nick said with a wry grin.
He was still trying not to laugh as the doors opened onto the first floor. A man in an electrician's coveralls stood waiting, holding a toolbox.
"Hey, sorry about that. I didn't think anyone was in the elevator when I shut the breaker off." He said to the two men.
"Quite alright. No harm done." Gil said dryly and walked past the man. Nick followed and Gil heard him snicker.
"You will get yours." Gil said as they got into the Denali. "When you least expect it."
"Promises, promises."
Nick was still grinning when they pulled up at the crime lab twenty minutes later.
