Summary: Calleigh's staring.

Caleigh had been looking at him funny all day. Delko had raised his eyebrows in question at her a few times, but she'd said nothing, only shaken her head and looked away.

Sometime after lunch the staring had finally worn his nerves down, and Delko asked. "What is it?"

"What's what?" Caleigh looked up from the gun she was dusting.

"You keep staring."

"I do not."

"Yeah, you do." Delko glanced down at himself. His shirt was buttoned correctly, he hadn't spilled anything on himself, and as far as he knew he didn't have any strange growths on his face. "What is it?"

Caleigh reached out with her left hand and touched Delko's left cheek. "You've got an abrasion or something right there."

He felt where her hand had been and felt the weird heat-burn combination of pressing fingers against irritated skin. "What about it?"

"You just haven't said anything about it. So I was wondering." Her tone turned teasing. "What'd you do, get drunk with Speedle last night and fall on your face?"

Delko grinned back at her. "Maybe I did."

"Or maybe you two got all hot and bothered last night and neither one of you was paying enough attention to worry about marking each other up." Caleigh just smiled at the look on Delko's face. "Thought so."

"Uh-*how*?"

"Did I know?"

"Yeah." Delko was suddenly wondering if the ground could swallow him up. Quickly. With flames.

"Well, it helps that Speed told me."

"He *what*?"

"Oh, relax." Caleigh waved a hand at him, sending the powder on her brush across the counter. "I don't care. He was antsy the other day, and I told him to go get laid. And he told me he had it covered. With you."

"Oh, my god." Delko gripped the counter to keep from sinking to the floor in embarassment.

"Take it as a compliment. I think he was being territorial. If Speedle *gets* territorial, at least."

~He does.~ Delko released the counter. "If you'll excuse me, I'm going to go hurt my boyfriend."

Caleigh grinned. "Don't shoot him. I have enough weapons to process." She laughed as soon as the lab door closed.
