Gil turned, intending to cross the lobby, with his keys in hand and bumped squarely into another person. When the stars cleared and Gil opened his eyes, he was face to face with the most beautiful man he‘d ever seen.

It was...*something* at first sight.

He wasn't naïve enough to call it love, but it was as close to love as Gil believed a person could possibly experience in the first thirty seconds of meeting a person.

Fiery green eyes blinked back at Gil with piqued confusion. A subtle brow and sulky mauve lips were all framed in a thin, angular face with high cheeks bones and a sloping jaw line. Gil glanced once down the man's body. Well built, 6’2 and gorgeous from head to toe.

A white shirt, open half way down his chest, showing tantalizing amounts of bronze skin, was making Gil’s mind and other parts of his body standup and take notice.

He was wonderfully handsome and pretty all at the same time.

Subtle. There was something subtle about him. And not so subtle.

He was glaring rather pointedly in fact. And it was...cute. Damn cute.

A coy, disarming grin slowly curved Gil's lips as he met the other man’s affronted gaze.

The green eyes staring back widened slightly, blinked a few times, and then the dark beauty was suddenly smiling right back, looking remarkably unperturbed (even...pleased?) at the realization that another *man* had just gazed him up and down like a work of art on display in a museum.

Gil stuck out his hand and those green eyes narrowed with a touch of delight, the meaning of which Gil rather doubted he was misconstruing.

"You must be the new guy.” Gil said smiling up at him.

“Yes. I’m Warrick Brown."

They shook hands. "Gil Grissom. Glad to know you."

"You too.” Warrick replied with a lazy, sensual smile.

“Well, I was just on my way out, but I could stay and show you around the place.”

“That’s ok. I’m sure I can find my way around.”

If you’re sure? Um… maybe we could get a cup of coffee when I get back?”

“That’d be great. I’ll see you in a little while then?”

“Oh, yes. I’ll hurry right back and if there’s anything I can do for you--don’t hesitate to let me know.

"Anything?" echoed Warrick..

Gil paused, looking back to him. "Maybe," he said thoughtfully. Then a wry smile curled his lips and he added, "Try me sometime and we'll find out."

Oh yes, thought Gil, grinning.

The lab had just become a whole lot more interesting.
