He gazed at himself in the mirror, not quite sure he liked what he saw. His hair was heavily gray, and there were wrinkles around his eyes. His body was getting soft in all the wrong places, and his bowlegs seemed to become more prominent the longer he looked.

But then there were his eyes. Blue and sharp like always. And despite all the horror he had seen, they were still able to show the love he was feeling.

That was if he believed the words of the man who loved him so deeply despite all his flaws.

He did.
