It had been six months since the shooting and so far Speed’s memory hadn’t returned. Alexx opened her home to her baby, since he didn’t know he lived with Horatio. They informed him that his apartment was being renovated and he had been staying with her.

Over the past few months Horatio had distanced himself from his lover, the pain of him not knowing was too much to bear. The redhead lay on his bed not able to sleep. He hadn’t had a decent night's sleep since the shooting.

A knock at the door dragged him out of the bed and downstairs. He opened the door and stood in shock.

Speed stepped inside his hand snaked behind Horatio’s head and pulled him into a deep kiss. He pulled back. “I’m home. I’m sorry it took so long.”
