"I can't believe I am spending Christmas in a hospital," Catherine says with a voice tinged with anger and nervousness.

"Catherine you can't always count on a baby's due date, hell the doctors usually don't know for sure, it's very unpredictable," Gil says as he tries to calm down his friend and colleague.

Gil and the rest of the CSI team, including Brass are in the delivery room waiting area while Sofia Curtis, Catherine's wife of eighteen months is giving birth to the couple's first child together.

"Gil's right Cath, when Tina had our baby her water broke right in the middle of our second anniversary party, remember?" Warrick says as he looks over to his wife who is holding little James Nicholas Brown in her arms.

Catherine thanked Warrick for his kind words of comfort and even smiled when she remembered that night, but that wasn't the only reason she was smiling; she was smiling at the memory of the time she and Sofia met and of all the dates and especially of the day Sofia asked her to become her wife to which she gladly said yes.

She was also remembering the day at the doctor's office when she found out that Sofia was pregnant and how scared she was because it had been so long since she was the mother of a little baby being that her own daughter Lindsey was now 15 years old and a sophomore in high school, but Sofia assured her that it was okay to be scared but that she knew Catherine was a great mother and that even though it had been a long time, she would still know what to do.

Catherine was brought out of her thoughts when she heard someone call "Mrs Willows, you can see your wife now," and after hearing those words she shot into Sofia's room as fast as her feet could carry her.

The sight she saw brought tears of joy to her eyes, the love of her life Sofia Curtis was holding the cutest little bundle in her arms, it being Christmas the blanket looked like a stocking so Catherine was unable to tell if the baby was a boy or girl.

"How are you sweetness?" Catherine asks her wife, who she knows is tired just by looking at her.

"I'm fine honey, now come over and say hello to your new daughter," Sofia says handing the little girl to her mommy.

"Oh sweetness I love her so much she looks just like you when you are sleeping, but what shall we name her?"

"I know this sounds really corny being Christmas but what about, Christina Noelle Willows."

"That's perfect."

"Now how about after I get out of here we go home and open our gifts to each other and the ones from Lindsey."

"That sounds great Sofia but you all ready gave me the greatest gift I could or will ever get...I love you Sofia."

"I love you too Catherine...Merry Christmas."
