Once upon a time, his world had been bland and colorless. The walls of his apartment were white and plain, devoid of pictures. The rooms were sterile, functional; they were lifeless.

Speed stepped into his home and tossed his keys into the ceramic bowl on the table. He slipped off his shoes and padded softly down the hallway towards the bedroom. He glanced at the photos that covered the walls; moments of their life together.

He paused at the bedroom door, smiling as he watched his lover strip out of his suit into jeans and a green shirt. Speed walked in and slipped his arms around him, kissing the back of his neck.

Horatio had brought color and love in to his life and he would be forever grateful.
