The first time Nick saw Dr. Gil Grissom he was lost. There was something about this older man that made Nick Stokes' heart beat faster. Over the years that they worked together he got to know him better from day to day.

The first days Gil worked as boss of the lab, Nick could sense the tension in him. But Gil lost that tension pretty soon. But he also lost some of his happiness.

The first morning they woke up together, Gil turned around and looked him in the eye and suddenly he saw again something from this old happiness.
