Pairing: Sara/Catherine.
Rating : NC17
Disclaimer : I wish they were mine, but they’re not…although I did have a rather interesting dream about Jorja Fox last night Everything CSI belongs to Bruckheimer, Zuiker , and CBS. I stole the beginning dialogue and I refuse to give it back. I don’t have any money so please don’t sue me. In fact, I’ve been unemployed for over a year now…
Author’s Note : So this is largely frustration and fluff born out of the need for distraction from the fifth story in the series. I’m about halfway through that story and I just needed to write something else while the final details iron themselves out in my head. Basically I watched ‘ATTWN’ a couple days ago and the S/C exchange in the convenience store just spoke volumes to me…not to mention how funny it was. So thanks again to everyone who keeps telling me how much they love the CSI stories. Without you I’m nothing. Enjoy…

“Fluorescent powders,” Catherine commented with a scrunch of her nose.

“Eh, why not? They’re in the kit,” Sara replied, dusting the hot pink print
powder along the outside edge of the countertop.

“Protocol’s black,” Catherine retorted, in her best ‘I’m in charge’ tone.

“Since when do you care about my choice of powders?” Sara asked with a smirk and
the flashing of playful eyes.

“Assistant coroner is four hours late,” Catherine said annoyed, removing her
latex gloves with a snap and throwing them at her bag.   “And we are stuck out
here until he transports the body and I haven’t even heard from Grissom.”

“You know I’ve never tried green,” Sara commented, holding up the jar and
pretending to dismiss Catherine’s rant.

“I should never have been sent to this remote scene in the first place.  I’ve
got seniority.   I deserve…no, I’ve earned the right to pick my cases,”
Catherine continued, hands on her hips, exhaling heavily.

Sara pushed to her feet and walked towards the counter, scrambling in her pocket
and coming out with a handful of change.   Placing three quarters on the
counter, she reached next to the register and grabbed a candy bar.  Chocolate
covered granola.  Healthy, but sweet.   Perfect.

She smirked and held it out to Catherine, who took it reluctantly and offered no
thanks.  Sara was about to turn back to her countertop, but stopped and turned
towards Catherine instead.  They locked eyes, the early morning heat protruding
through the glass door like a volcano ready to erupt.  A heat was beginning to
grow between them, almost staggering.

“If I start eating, I will shut up,” Catherine commented, gripping both sides of
the candy bar and attempting to pull it open.

When she couldn’t manage to rip it open, Sara stepped forward and reached for
the candy bar.  Her fingertips brushed the back side of Catherine’s hand, an
electricity transferring between them.  Sara moved as if to take the candy bar
into her own hands, but instead Catherine slid her own hands over Sara’s
gripping them almost too tightly.

“I think there’s something else that’ll shut you up just as well,” Sara said,
voice like velvet, leaning in quickly and pressing her lips against Catherine’s
in a heated kiss.

At first, Sara wasn’t sure what she had done would be taken in stride, but when
she felt the small thud of the candy bar hitting her shoe and Catherine’s small
hands gripping the sides of her shirt, she was more than sure the voices in her
head weren’t wrong.   Catherine parted her lips slightly, struggling for a quick
intake of air, and Sara seized her opportunity to deepen the kiss, sliding her
tongue past Catherine’s lips and into the warm cocoon of her mouth.   Catherine
applied pressure back, her tongue gliding over Sara’s in steady rhythm, a
newfound curiosity rising in her chest.

Sara slid her arms tightly around Catherine’s waist, feeling the shorter woman’s
hand curl around the back of her neck pulling her into her so hard there wasn’t
a breath between them.   There was a passion rising between them, their kisses
becoming sloppy and rushed, hands roaming freely and running over the rough
material of the unwanted inhibition of clothing.  Catherine felt the sun at her
back, remembering they were standing in front of large plexi-glass windows, and
slowly began inching forward.

Feeling the pressure Catherine was applying, Sara began shuffling backwards.
She broke the kiss, pulling back to look into Catherine’s eyes for reassurance
and finding it there hidden under the dark disguise of desire.   Sara smiled,
sliding her hands to the front of Catherine’s brown collared shirt and freeing
each button with the precision of experience.   Catherine smiled back pushing
Sara by the waist into the second aisle of the convenience store, reveling in
the discreet privacy it offered, the feeling of Sara’s smooth hands gliding up
over her shoulders.

Her shirt hit the floor in a lazy pile and Sara wasted no time dropping
Catherine’s gun and cell phone on top of it.   She kissed Catherine hard,
fingers leaving a hot trail down the blonde’s back as she shifted her kisses
down the soft skin of Catherine’s throat, in between full breasts, stopping to
dip her tongue in and around the small hollow of her bellybutton.  Sara fell to
her knees, gripped at the top of Catherine’s pants, sliding her hands around to
the front near a tightly looped belt buckle.   She felt Catherine’s hands
threading through her hair, holding her in place as she pulled Catherine’s belt
apart quickly and with one hand.   With the other she pulled Catherine down to
her knees in front of her, seeing her gasp at the surprise of forcefulness.

Against her better judgment, Sara became almost too gentle, tracing her
fingertips down the side of Catherine’s face slowly.   Catherine met Sara’s dark
eyes and never let them go as she turned her head to kiss the inside of Sara’s
palm briefly.   She raised up on her knees fully to counter Sara’s height and
kissed her slowly, shifting their encounter from a strictly meaningless and
frustrated release to something rooted deeper.  Their lips slid against each
other gingerly, allowing their contours to mold into a perfect fit.

Sara grabbed Catherine’s balled up shirt with her free hand and lowered her down
to the cold linoleum floor placing the brown garment under the older woman’s
head in a makeshift cushion.   Lowering herself on top of Catherine slowly, Sara
kissed her soundly and deeply, running a hand over silk covered breasts and
stopping to tease already alert nipples before continuing her journey down a
strong, flat stomach.   Sara felt Catherine’s breath hitch, entwined with her
own, as she slid the button of the blonde’s pants in between index finger and
thumb and popped it open with a gentle push of thumb against cold metal.

Catherine grabbed at the cold metal of the gun at Sara’s right side as she felt
her zipper being pulled down.   She gasped as Sara pulled her mouth away and
began nipping at the soft skin of Catherine’s neck.  Sara’s gun was quickly
shed, Catherine dropping it next to a package of Twinkies.   Catherine almost
had to laugh at the two of them getting it on between the Hostess snack food on
their left and the dirty magazines and comic books to their right…and in the
middle of a crime scene no less.   Talk about contaminating evidence.

Sliding long fingers down past the silky barrier of Victoria’s Secret underwear,
Sara slowly entered Catherine almost amazed at the incredible moisture
surrounding her hand.  Catherine’s hips slid into an even rhythm with Sara’s
slow pumping motion, her own hands trailing up under the dark blue and white
tie-dyed shirt above her, caressing soft breasts before sliding around Sara’s
back and pulling her down further on top of her.  Sara used her thumb to tease
the hard nub at the apex of Catherine’s sex, continuing to slide her fingers in
and out with ease.  She felt nails digging into her back roughly and could feel
herself getting more turned on every second.  Having Catherine writhing below
her was something she had never imagined could happen, not to mention the fact
that it was so incredibly sexy.

Sara increased the pressure between Catherine’s legs and as she felt the end
coming closer, Catherine quickly slid a hand around the back of Sara’s neck
pulling hungry lips down to her own.   As she convulsed around Sara’s hand,
Catherine pushed her tongue past Sara’s lips with an urgency, her soft moan
stifled somewhere in the transfer from one mouth to another.  Catherine pulled
back slowly, ragged breathing seizing her lungs in a vice grip.  Sara slowly
removed her hand from between Catherine’s legs and brought it up to the side of
her face, brushing the back of her knuckles lightly across Catherine’s flushed
cheek.   She leaned down to kiss her tenderly, her mind screaming at her not to
equate this experience to any concrete involvement.   But it was too late.  The
way Catherine’s hands held her tightly couldn’t be lying.   Sara’s thoughts were
flooded with images of beginnings.

They heard the skidding of tires on dirt at the same time.  Eyes flew open in a
panic, hands reaching for belongings.

“Shit,” Catherine cursed, allowing Sara to help her on with her shirt.

Catherine stood up just as the door was opening, the dinging of the overhead
bell resounding like thunder.   She stepped out near the counter, clicking her
cell phone back into place on the left side of her hip and glancing back to
smile at Sara as she struggled to clip her gun back on.

“Catherine,” the Assistant coroner greeted her with confused eyes.

“David, hey what took you guys so long?” she asked, wiping at the corner of her
mouth and smoothing her hair back into place.

“Took a wrong turn back at the fork,” the young man answered.  “Something
interesting in the snack food aisle?” he asked, eyes gliding over just as Sara
popped up into view.

“David,” Sara nodded to him with a brilliant smile, pulling her shirt down over
the edge of her pants.   “I didn’t touch anything, I swear.”

“Sara,” he said.  “I know you better than that,” he smiled back at her in his
goofy, science geek way.

“Catherine, I found those Ho-Ho’s you were looking for,” Sara added, winking and
turning to throw a smooshed pack of cream filled treats at her.

“Thanks, I’m starving,” Catherine shot back at Sara with a grin as she struggled
to get the package open and failed miserably.

“Pardon me for noticing, Catherine,” David said, slightly embarrassed.  “But you
forgot a button,” he pointed at her midsection and walked past her to examine
the body.   Sara walked to her, biting her lip to stifle a giggle.

“Let me get that,” she said, reaching out for Catherine’s shirt and smiling even
wider when her hands were slapped away firmly.

“So what are you doing later on?” Sara asked, once Catherine had straightened
herself out.

“I have some unfinished business to attend to,” Catherine said with a smile that
reached her eyes easily as she flung the packaged snack cakes back at Sara.

Sara grinned back, caught the package with one hand, and opened it easily in one
motion.

END.
