Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy SpeedleWhen Speed first arrived into Miami, the concept of a Hurricane season was new. He understood preparing for winter snows or flooding season in the spring, but an actually Hurricane season.
After dealing with the first Hurricane he almost packed up his stuff and went home. Why would anyone want to live in a place where each year the damn things came back?
Every year when he asked himself why he stayed, Horatio would remind him of the home they created.
He hammered the last board into place to protect their home. He then grabbed their bags and set them in the Hummer, preparing to leave and find shelter. Even if this one took their home, they would just rebuild, together.
