Gibbs took a sip out of the bourbon. He sighed heavily as he looked at the unfinished boat. Gibbs was going to finish it with Tony.

Gibbs shook his head. He didn’t have the right to think about Tony...not anymore. He pushed Tony away. He did the right thing, he was sure of it.

“I’ll always love you,” Gibbs whispered in Tony’s ear. Tony was bound to the bed; his leather cuffs were chained to the posts.

Gibbs ran a hand down Tony’s chest. “You’ll always be mine, I promise.”

Tony made a moan.

“Tomorrow, I’m going to teach you how to make boats the right way – my way.”

Tony rolled his eyes. “Oh, Jethro, I don’t need...oww!” Gibbs pinched one of the nipples hard.

“Yes, Sir, no problem.”

Gibbs grinned. The very next day, Gibbs did teach Tony how to use tools and how to sand the boat. When they finished ‘Kelly’, Tony asked Gibbs if they could do another boat together, right from the scratch and to name the boat together. Gibbs agreed and so every other weekend, they came down to the basement to work on the boat.

Gibbs looked up to the boat; just the frames. They were going to put planks of wood on the frames but then Gibbs had his accident and then after the accident, he escaped to Mexico.

Gibbs squeezed the bridge of his nose and took another sip of his drink. He didn’t want to think about Tony; he didn’t want to think about how hurt Tony was when he pushed him away; told him that Gibbs didn’t deserve to love again; that he couldn’t betray Shannon or Kelly. He made a mental chuckle. Gibbs knew that Shannon would’ve been happy with Tony. Tony made him happy, made him alive. He was sure that Shannon would be furious with the choices Gibbs made.

No, he did the right thing. He was sure of it.

Gibbs heard footsteps on the stairs and looked up, in the hope that it was Tony and that he decided to come back. But instead, it was Ducky. Gibbs sighed heavily and looked away.

“Oh, Jethro,” Ducky cried when he saw the bottle in Gibbs’s hand.

“What are you doing here, Ducky?” Gibbs asked.

“I came to check on you, Jethro,” Ducky replied. “It looks like I came just in time.”

Gibbs looked down at the bottle of bourbon; it was almost empty. He shrugged; expect it wasn’t much of a shrug, more like a drunken shrug.

“I wanted to forget,” Gibbs said.

“Forget what?” Ducky said, stepping closer to Gibbs. “Forget that you pushed Anthony away? Forget that you promised him? Forget that...”

Gibbs turned to Ducky and got into his face. “You got no right!”

Ducky blinked and stepped back, his hands up. “I’m sorry, Jethro...”

Gibbs put the bourbon on the table and sat down on a stool, head hung in his hands. “I did the right thing. I’m sure of it.”

Ducky frowned. “What did you mean by that?”

Gibbs looked up. “He doesn’t deserve me. He deserves someone who can look after him. I can’t look after him, not now. He needs someone strong enough; he doesn’t deserve what I can give him now.”

“Jethro? What do you mean? Of course, Anthony deserves you. He loves you. He has been in love with you...like forever and I know that you’re still in love with him. So what happened?” Ducky said, quietly.

Gibbs just shrugged. “Sometimes...a little lie, it’s good for the soul.”

Ducky stared at Gibbs, confused until Gibbs told him the reason why he pushed Tony away and Ducky’s eyes widened in shock.

Putting a hand on Gibbs’s shoulder, Ducky said, “You’re an idiot. You should’ve told him.”

Gibbs shook his head. “Tony won’t want me once he knows.” Ducky begun to protest.

“Please don’t tell him, please?” Gibbs pleaded with Ducky. Ducky was shocked to hear Gibbs say ‘please’ – it wasn’t in Gibbs’s nature and slowly nodded. “I promise I won’t tell him...but you’re still an idiot.”

McGee groaned as he heard the loud music coming in from the labs. He walked in and switched the music off, causing Abby to turn around.

“Hey! What do you think you’re doing?” Abby asked. McGee sighed. He knew that Abby was taking Tony’s leaving hard, perhaps more hard than the rest of the team as Abby and Tony were very close.

“Gibbs wants to know if you’ve finished with the DNA tests.” McGee told Abby.

“Tell Gibbs that I will call when I’m finished and not before!” Abby snapped and turned back to the computers. Picking up the remote control, Abby pointed it at the music player and turned it back on.

McGee sighed heavily and was about to leave when suddenly he felt arms around his neck.

“I’m sorry; it’s not your fault,” Abby said. McGee smiled and patted Abby’s arm gently.

“I know. We’re all taking it hard.”

Abby nodded. “I’m lucky to have you, my boy.” She turned McGee around and kissed him softly. “Thank you.”

“Umm...yes...” McGee blushed. Abby laughed. She knew that McGee didn’t like to be praised, at least not at work.

“Timmy, my boy, come,” Abby made a gesture.

“But...but Gibbs?”

“Are you on a case, boy?” Abby asked, hands on her hips.

“No..but...” McGee sputtered.

“Then forget him. He knows that I take priority over anything else, especially if you are not on a case,” Abby chided her boy.

McGee closed his eyes; she was right. They were not on an active case so Abby had the right to order him to follow her into the office.

Active cases would always take priority over any Dom/mes but at other times, Dom/mes could order their submissives to stay with them. Still, it won’t make McGee’s life any easier. Gibbs would still snap at him and ask where the hell he was.

McGee sighed and opened his eyes and went to Abby’s office.

Abby gestured for him to sit down. McGee frowned; he expected to be told to kneel but did what he was told, anyway.

Abby sat on McGee’s lap and rested her head on McGee’s shoulder. McGee realized that Abby needed to be cuddled and put his arms around Abby and pulled her close.

They stayed like that for ten minutes before Abby spoke.

“How is he?”

McGee knew who Abby was talking about; Gibbs.

McGee sighed. “He’s not the same old Gibbs. All he has done is snap at me and Ziva. Hell, he also snaps at Ducky and Ducky is one of his oldest friends!”

Abby made a small nod. “Gibbs doesn’t come down now. When he does, he doesn’t bring Caf-Pow anymore or to say ‘Good girl’.”

McGee stroked Abby’s hair softly.

“Gibbs looks so old. He has lost some weight.”

“You noticed too?” McGee asked. Abby sat up and looked at McGee.

“Yeah, I wonder, is there something wrong with him?”

“You mean, with his health?” McGee said, puzzled.

Abby jumped off McGee, and slapped her forehead. “Of course! I knew Gibbs couldn’t have pushed Tony away, not without a good reason.”

Abby turned to McGee. “What if there was something wrong with Gibbs’ health and he felt that he didn’t deserve Tony? What if he felt that he didn’t deserve to be Tony’s Dom? You know what Gibbs’s like. He likes to be seen as a strong man, and if Tony saw him as a weak man, maybe Gibbs thought Tony would leave him, so Gibbs did it first!”

McGee blinked as Abby got all that out in one breath. He made a mental chuckle, it was just so typical of Abby, but he didn’t still understand what Abby was telling him.

“That must be it!” Abby cried and left the office.

McGee looked to the door, wondering what has just happened.
