Summary: Everything is fine between Catherine and Riley...until it's time to get intimate...

Everything since New Year's Eve have been like a dream for Catherine and
Riley; they spend days off together, Riley helps Lindsey with her
homework, Riley even helps Catherine around the house while
visiting...that changed one night.

It was like any other night at the Willows home when Riley
visits...dinner, clean-up, help Lindsey with her homework, then if time
permits two dvds are watched, one for the three of them, one for just
the adults.

Lindsey had just gone to bed and the 'adult' movie was playing and
Catherine was lounging against her favorite pillow, Riley. "MMmm...I
could stay here forever." Catherine states matter of factly.

"Then how would get to work, or get Lindsey to school, or get the
groceries or go to the bathroom, because truth be told Cat, I don't like
to be peed on." Riley says with a laugh.

"So little miss smartass, planning on not having a girlfriend
anymore..." Catherine says as she turns over to look Riley in the face,
she then takes the opportunity to capture Riley's lips with her own.

"MMmmm Cat, you taste so good, I could do this all night."

"I've got something better than this we can do all night," Catherine
says giving her a wink and plugging her toward the stairs to her
bedroom.

Riley suddenly tenses up and tries to move away from Catherine, "Lee are
you okay, what's wrong baby?"

Lee is Catherine's nickname for Riley when the two are alone on a case
or at the others home, but at work in front of the rest of the lab it's
Riley.

"I'm fine Cat, I just don't want to rush into anything, you know what I
mean I want it to be just right...Please I hope you can understand."

"Okay Lee, I do understand," Catherine says a bit dejected and hurt. The
two women went back to there former position and watched the movie until
it was over.

The same thing kept happening everytime Catherine tried to be intimate
with Riley for about two weeks and Catherine was getting tired of it,
she cornered Riley in the locker room at work before shift, "Riley would
you mind telling why in the hell you don't want to get intimate with
me...is it me or are you seeing someone else because if you are it's
over between us." Catherine says keeping her voice low but her eye
brimming with tears.

"Oh Catherine I love you with all my heart and soul, It's not someone
else and it's definately not you....It's me..." Riley was going to
continue but Greg came in and told them that Grissom was about to give
out assignments.

"We will talk about this later...I promise, I'll come over your place
and cook breakfast for you and we will talk...I love you Catherine,"
Riley says with a smile and a quick peck on the cheek and hug in the
hope that this would suffice until after shift.

"Oh Riley I love you too, i just wish you'd come clean."

"I will...I promise."

The shift ended faster than normal because the cases were pretty open
and shut and it was time for Riley to 'come clean' as she put it.

She offered to cook breakfast for both Catherine and Lindsey and even
drive Lindsey to school, she figured it would giver her time to get her
thoughts straight and explain her actions, she pu;;s back into
Catherine's driveway, "Here goes nothing...or everything." she mutters
to herself as she walks to the door.

She walks in and finds Catherine sitting in the living room, dining room
and dishes cleaned, and two cups of coffee sitting in front of
Catherine. Riley sat down and cleared her throat and began to speak,
"Catherine...Cat, I love you more than life itself there isn't anything
I wouldn't do for either you or Lindsey."

Catherine couldn't keep her emotions in check any longer, "Then Damn it
tell me why you can't or won't make love to me, because God knows I've
been patient but it's wearing damn thin." with her final words Catherine
began to cry.

Riley couldn't even look Catherine in the eye, she hung her head in her
hands and sobbed, "It...it's because of Elyse."

"Your old girlfriend, you can't make love to me because you feel you'd
be cheating on her." Catherine said getting angier.

"No..no it's not that, remember I told you how she died after we went to
the movies..." Catherine nodded, "well you see that afternoon before we
went out we made passionate love and now I'm afraid...it will happen to
you."

"Oh baby don't worry that won't happen...come with me." she then took
Riley upstairs and the two made love all afternoon.

"You see baby I'm still here."

"I'm sorry Cat, I guess it was my stupid fear...can you forgive me."

"Sure baby I forgive you ...wanna know something."

"What"

"I love you Lee."

"I love you too Cat."
