Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy Speedle

Horatio knew his lover was upset and looking for him. This really hadn’t been a good year for either of them. Between Speed’s brush with death and now his brother’s rise from the dead it’s just been one hell of an emotional roller coaster.

He stood by his brothers ‘grave’. He had no idea if anyone was in it or if it was empty. His brother had come and gone destroying Horatio’s life without even a second glance. Everything he knew, everything he had was gone.

He heard a rustle nearby and looked over to see Speed standing there. He had almost lost him, but Speed stubbornly held on. He had said that he held on for the redhead. Speed lived for Horatio.

Horatio glanced one last time at the tombstone then turned his back and walked to his future. Speed pulled him close and held on tight.

Speed lived for him.

Ray died for himself.
