Speed wasn’t a breakfast man. He normally rolled out of bed, took a quick shower, threw on some clothes, and headed to work. Breakfast was a cup of coffee and a donut as he walked through the lab on his way to Trace. That is if he was lucky and wasn’t called out to a scene.

Then he ended up in Horatio’s bed. He woke up to the smell of cooking bacon and brewing coffee. He poked his head out from under the covers and sniffed. He crawled out of the bed and padded into the kitchen.

Horatio handed him a cup of coffee and gave him a quick kiss. Speed sat down at the table and stared at the plate of food.

“I could get used to this,” Speed smiled as he picked up his fork.
