Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy SpeedleThe smell of freshly turned dirt assaulted his senses. He cringed, nose twitching. The smell brought back memories he didn’t want. Speed stood next to the freshly dug grave. His emotions were wildly fluctuating from anger to depression and everything in between.
“It wasn’t your fault.” A voice called out from behind him.
Speed turned and looked at the redhead. “I know that here.” He pointed to his head. “But not here.” He moved his hand to his chest.
“Let me help.” Horatio stepped closer and laid his hand over Speed’s. “Come home.”
Speed turned back to the grave. “Goodbye Wally.”
