"Hello?....HELLO?" Don is almost shouting into the phone, only to hear a dial tone, meaning that someone on the other end have hung up.
Don put the phone in its place, and turned to his lover, Mac, who is now sitting down against the wall on the ground, his knees up to his chin, and Don could hear him breathing so hard, like he was taking in sharp breaths. Don knew at once that Mac was having a panic attack. There was one other time, when Don saw Mac having a panic attack; it was just after Danny has been in an explosion.
Don ran into the kitchen to get a paper bag, and returned to Mac, holding the paper bag under Mac's mouth, who breathed into the paper bag.
After a while, Mac's panic attack calmed down, and Don kissed on the forehead, asking him what has happened.
Mac looked up; "Danny have been kidnapped!"
Don looks shocked; "WHAT?....how?" and now Don is breathing heavily, at the thought of his...their lover being hurt, his stomach in knots, his heart bumping so fast.
Mac pushes Don off, and stood up quickly. He took the phone in his hand, and began to call Stella, telling her to bring the team to his apartment, and specifically to the basement. Mac explained all to Stella, whilst Don listened.
It seemed that Sonny Sassone has escaped from jail, and has kidnapped Danny, and then he called Mac, fully knowing that Mac was Danny's lover. Sonny warned Mac off Danny, saying that Danny belonged to him and the Tanglewood Boys.
Don is hurt that Mac told Stella, and not him, but he stands up besides Mac, and puts a hand on his shoulder, who only brushes it off, telling Don that he has to go down to the basement, and leaves the apartment, leaving Don alone.
Don is bewildered, and wonders what the hell have just happened.

Meanwhile, Danny is tied up with tape over his mouth, and he struggles to get free. He is in a dark room, and could not see anything, it was so dark. He tries to get out of the ropes; his hands are tied from behind. But as he tries, the rope rubs against the skin, hurting him.
Danny hears someone coming, and he stops trying to get free, and sits still, waiting.
He could see a man coming down to his eyesight, and he gasps, as he finds Sonny Sassone bending over him.
"Bet you thought you would never see me again, Danny Boy?" Sonny said, in a gruff voice.
Danny shook his head, panic building up in his chest, as he remembered all these years ago, when he was a young boy and he wanted to get into a gang, the Tanglewood Boys, but the leader, i.e. Sonny Sassone, the one in front of him, have sexually abused Danny, and used him, then threw him out of the Tanglewood Boys, before tattooing him, telling him that he would always belong to the Tanglewood Boys forever.
When Sonny Sassone was finally caught for the murder of someone else later in the years, Danny thought he would never see Sonny again.
Oh, boy, how wrong was he.
Suddenly, Danny felt his head being knocked out, and he fell down to the ground, his eyes going out, and finally Danny is out.
Danny is lying on the ground, his head bleeding from the knock-out by Sonny earlier on. He is opening his eyes, with his glasses on the floor.
Slowly, he struggles to sit up, so that he could see where he is now. As he sits up against a wall behind him, Danny feels his glasses breaking, and thought; ‘oh, no!’ Now Danny is almost blind as a bat. But then he realizes that he could use the broken pieces to cut the ropes behind him.
So, Danny searches for the pieces behind him, and found a big one. He then tries to cut the ropes from behind, causing some cuts on his hands. He almost screams in agony, but bits his lips to try to keep quiet.
Suddenly, Danny hears footsteps, and he stops, hurriedly hides the pieces in his hands. He shuts his eyes as the pieces bites into the skin some more.
“Well..well, now see who have decided to wake up!” a gruff voice said, and Danny knows it to be Sonny standing in front of him.
He slowly opens his eyes and looks up to look at Sonny through blurry eyes. He could just about see a grin on Sonny’s face, showing some yellow and black teeth, and Danny shudders, as he remembered all these years ago, when Sonny bite into his shoulder, leaving a deep scar there.
Suddenly a fist comes to his face again, and again, and his nose is bleeding, his eyes watering, as Danny tries to keep quiet, to stop screaming out as to not satisfy Sonny.
Sonny simply laughs down at him; “Danny Boy! So you think you can handle the pain?”
Danny chuckles, and thinks to himself, ‘thankfully, he doesn’t know about me being able to handle the pain, from all the spanks, whips and floggings I get from Mac’.
But Sonny have a different plan in mind, and pulls Danny up to his feet, and grabs his arm, walks him over to a chair, then Sonny sits Danny down.
Then Sonny gets into Danny’s personal space, and puts his face close to Danny’s, telling him that Sonny will make him scream, that he will make Danny beg him to stop.
With that, Danny closes his eyes, as he feels something metal on his chest, and suddenly he screams out in pain.
He now wants to die there and right now, he could not handle whatever it is doing to him. Electric shocks are coming through his body, and he wakes up to see an electric rod on his chest, poking into his chest and everywhere else Sonny could.
Suddenly, images of Mac and Don come in his mind, and Danny pines for them, to hold into their arms. And so Danny tries to stay awake, to fight for his life, he wants to stay ALIVE.

Meanwhile, at Mac’s building, down in the basement, Hawkes and Lindsay are collecting trace from the blood and around Danny’s car.
Mac stands at a side away from the crime scene, watching on, with a worried and agonised look, wondering if they will find Danny, his beautiful lover, his boy.
Stella is trying to comfort Mac, but Mac waves her away, wanting to be alone. His heart is in knots, and there is anger inside him. He could not handle talking to anyone, not just now.
Don walks up behind him, and puts a hand on Mac’s shoulder, to try to comfort him as well, but Mac turns around and gives a cold stare to Don, who steps back, confused.
“Leave me alone, Don.” Mac told him, and walks away from Don.
Don can just look on, as Stella stands beside him, feeling bad for Don, and puts a hand on his shoulder, telling him that it will be all okay. Don looks at Stella, and shrugs; “I am not so sure.”
Later that day, from the traces collected from a door on Danny’s car, Adam found out that it is cement, specifically from a building site, not far from where Danny was taken.
The team gets together with NYPD and the SWAT guys and Don organizes people in groups. Mac, Stella and Jess are with Don, while Hawkes is leading another team, as they drive to a warehouse, where Danny could be.
As they arrive at the warehouse, they find some of the guys from the Tanglewood Boys, patrolling the surroundings.
Hawakes and his team quickly take them down, and signal for Don’s group to move forward.
Stepping into the warehouse, they hear Danny screaming out. Don and Mac gasps at the sounds of their lover’s screams.
Stella stays behind from the guys, allowing them to go forward.
Don nods at Mac, who nods back and they goes into opposite directions. Soon, they find Sonny and Danny.
Don finches at the sight of Danny’s body, he is in pain, and there is a lot of blood coming from him. He could see that Danny is going in and out of conscious.
Don holds a gun in his hand, and raises it up. He waits for Mac to get into position, and he could see Mac making faces as he sees Danny in the chair.
Sonny is holding something in his hand, and Mac realizes that it is an electricity rod, and he shudders, for that he knows how painful and how dangerous it can be.
Mac then raises his own gun up, with some SWAT guys in place. Mac signals for the leader of the SWAT team to go.
The leader nods, and shouts out; “NYPD, freeze!”
Suddenly, Sonny drops the electricity rod, and turns around, to find Mac and Don rushing towards him. Mac kicks Sonny down, and Don puts the gun against his head, his hands shaking, wanting to kill the bastard, but Mac whispers to him; “It’s not worth it.”
Don looks up at Mac, feeling a lot of anger inside him, and finally, he puts the gun into his holster, and then he bends down to punch Sonny in the face, surprising him.
“Nobody touches my boy!”
Mac smiles quietly as he hears Don say that, and then after putting the gun in his holster, he rushes over to Danny, shouting for the medic.
Soon, Danny is carried on the stretcher towards the ambulance van, but he is unconscious, there were a lot of blood lost. There are some burns on his chest from the electricity rod.
Mac and Don stand at the ambulance van, unsure which one of them goes in the van, until Don turns to Mac, and tells him to go with Danny.
Mac nods, and goes into the van, holding Danny’s hand.
As the aubulance van drives away, Don wonders if he and Mac will be okay or that Danny will make it.
He gives a heavy sigh, as Don walks over to where the team are, and Stella puts her arm across Don's shoulders, telling him that it will be all okay.
Hawkes, Lindsay and Adam look on, each one of them looks shocked but worried for Danny. All of them knows now about Danny and Mac, but not about Don.
At the hospital, Mac is sitting in the family and relatives’’ waiting room, when the rest of the team arrive.
Mac tells them, that there is no news as yet and that the doctors are working on Danny.
Hawkes pats Mac on the back, before sitting down on a plastic chair.
Adam and Lindsay go off to get coffees and teas for everyone, while Stella stands at the door, feeling awkward, not sure how to comfort Mac, when Mac asks;
“Where is Don?”
Stella points to the reception area. Mac follows the point and finds Don at the desk, with a doctor, and he is shouting, demanding to see Danny.
But the doctor refuses, trying to explain that Danny is still in theatre. Don won’t listen and he is waving his hands around. Soon, the doctor threatens to call the security on him and that stops Don.
Don growls at the doctor to let him know when Danny is ready for visitors which causes the doctor to say when Danny is ready, only immediate family and loved ones are allowed in. Don shouts at the doctor that he is Danny’s partner.
The doctor looks confused, he thought the other man, meaning Mac, was Danny’s partner, and tells Don so.
Don simply looks at the doctor, and he shrugs as he sits on a chair nearby, feeling angry, but worried for Danny.
Mac stands at the door with Stella, watching the interactions, and he realizes that he was pushing Don away. He felt like an idiot.
So Mac walks over to Don, about to apologize when Don looks up and sees Mac. He gets up and walks away from Mac, he does not want to see Mac, or even talk to him. Mac has hurt him today. Just before Don walks out, he turns to Mac; “Don’t follow me.” And then he left.
Mac watches Don walking away, wondering if he has lost Don for good.
Stella walks up behind him; “Follow him, talk to him, get on your knees, if you have to, beg for forgiveness, but talk to him for god’s sake!”
Mac turns to Stella, a sad smile on his face, his eyes red, and he nods, then he follows Don out of the hospital.
Mac finds Don at a side entrance, and walks over to him, and then he gets on his knees in front of Don, surprising Don, who stumbles into the wall behind him.
“What the hell?” Don said, pulling Mac up, making sure that nobody saw him.
“I am sorry, Don. I shouldn’t have pushed you away like that. I…I..just felt helpless, so angry that Danny was hurt like that, that…….” Mac trailed off, as Don takes Mac into his arms, and Mac starts to sob into Don’s chest.
Don is shocked, he never have seen Mac crying like that before, and so he holds Mac tight, telling him that it will be okay, that Danny will be okay.
Mac simply sobs, and there is a tear coming down Don’s cheek, as he kisses on Mac’s forehead.
They don’t see Lindsay watching them from the main entrance, she is confused at the embrace, and she thought that Danny was Mac’s partner, after finding out that Sonny kidnapped Danny because he wanted to hurt Mac. Lindsay walks into the family waiting room, and tells the rest of the team, what she saw.
Adam and Hawkes shrugs, telling Lindsay that maybe Don was just comforting a friend, while Stella gasped, knowing that it was more than that, but at the same time, she was pleased for Don and Mac.
As Don and Mac walk into the waiting room, the doctor, from before, the one who Don shouted at, came up to them. He told them and the rest of the team that Danny is okay, but not out of the woods as yet. He is still drowsy from the drugs and is a bit worn out from the trauma. The doctor explains that Danny will need lot of time off from the shock, and lot of care, and asks if there were anyone who will look after Danny. Almost everyone in the room stands up, and the doctor is rather taken aback as Mac tells him that they all will take turns in looking after Danny. The doctor nods.
Just before the doctor leaves, he turns to everyone and asks;
“Danny woke up a little while back, and he kept saying ‘macdon’ over and over, what does that mean?”
Mac and Don looks at each other, quietly chuckling. Don is keeping quiet, as he realizes the rest of the team, apart from Stella, doesn’t know about him.
Mac smiles, and looks at Stella, his eyes look sad, but asks her if he should say, but Stella shrugs, tells him that it is up to him. Mac nods, then he clears his throat, knowing that what he is about to say will shock the rest of the team.
Mac turns back to the doctor; “I think Danny meant Mac and Don….I am Mac,” then he points to Don; “he is Don. So macdon is Mac and Don.”
The both of the guys could hear some gasps from some of the team as Don steps forwards and asks;
“Now can we go and see him, please?”
The doctor shakes his head, and was about to say that only immediate family and loved ones are allowed to see him, when Mac interrupted;
“I….” then he stops, and looks at Don who frowns, then he starts again; “WE are his partners, his lovers. Now let us in!”
The doctor is taken aback at the outburst from Mac, and he nods, as he leads Mac and Don to Danny.
Don grins at Mac, not believing what he just heard from Mac. He smiles. As Don leaves, he steals a quick glance back to the rest of the team, to see Hawkes’ mouth opening, as Lindsay grins and waves her hands around. He hears her say; “See! I told you so!”
Adam just sits there, staring ahead, and looks confused.
Don chuckles quietly and he follows Mac and the doctor.
In the room, there is Danny lying in the bed, and the two guys stand at each side of the bed, looking down at their lover, each holding a hand.
Danny slowly wakes up, and sees his two lovers, and smiles, then he tries to sit up, but Mac holds him down, telling him that he have to rest.
Danny shakes his head, he wanted to kiss them. Don seems to know what Danny wanted, and so he leans forward, and plants a kiss on Danny, who sighs, then Mac realizes what Danny wanted.
So, Mac bends down, to kiss Danny, and soon, the three of them share a three-way kiss.
Then Danny falls asleep, and the two guys stand up, smiling, then they sit down in a chair and fall asleep too.
It was a few days later, and Danny was finally allowed to go home. He was not comfortable staying in the hospital, and was whining and complaining to everyone, wanting to go home.
Both Mac and Don were unable to stay at home with him, as they were working, so Stella was the one who took Danny home.
When Danny got to the apartment, Mac’s and his, he was so glad and went straight to the king-sized bed, and lay in the bed. He missed it, most importantly; he missed sharing the bed with Mac and Don.
Danny gave a heavy sigh of relief, as he got undressed, and got under the covers. For the last few days, he had difficulties sleeping, and kept having nightmares – about the abuses and the kidnapping and he did not want to have any more nightmares.
Sometimes later that night, Danny woke up, screaming, sweating, and he could feel arms wrapped around him, voices smoothing him, and he turned to find both of his lovers, Mac and Don; with him sandwiched in between of them. Somehow, he did not hear them coming home, and now Danny is embarrassed to wake up screaming, he was having one of the nightmares again.
In his nightmare:
“Danny Boy…you will never get rid of me!” Sonny leered at Danny; his hands crawling all over Danny’s naked body. He was about to take Danny.
This was when Danny woke up, screaming; “NO-NO….”
It was then Danny finally broken down, sobbing into both of his lovers’ chests. Above Danny’s head, Don and Mac looked at each other, both of them feeling helpless, useless, not knowing how to help him.
“I..I….am sorry!” Danny sobbed.
Mac lifted Danny’s chin up to him, and asked him what he have got to be sorry about.
“You don’t want me! I am damaged. I…I…” Danny looked at Mac, who shut his eyes, as his heart ached as he was hearing what Danny was saying.
“Danny, look at me!” Don ordered, his voice was a bit shaking, but he was trying to cover it.
Danny slowly turned to face Don.
“Listen to me, we will always want you. No matter what happens, we will never leave you, you understand that?” Don lifted Danny’s chin, and he bend down to look into his eyes.
Mac opened his eyes, and smiled at Don, mouthing a thank you to him. He knew he could never say that. For some reason, he was feeling helpless, and all he could do is to hold Danny in his arms.
“Danny, my boy, Don is right, I will be here, and so will he.” Mac whispered in Danny’s ear.
Danny bowed his head down, and he felt a ray of hope coming into his heart, as he realized that he had both of his lovers telling him that they would be here for him.
Danny smiled, and he snuggled up to Mac, pulling Don with him.
Although, Danny never really slept, he laid there, feeling safe in the king-sized bed, with his two lovers.
For the next couple of months, Don spent many nights at Mac and Danny’s apartment. Mac and Don took turns in looking after Danny, making sure that one of them are there during night-time, so that they can hold Danny, after one of his nightmares.
After a lot of persuading from the two lovers, Danny saw a counsellor. Danny found it hard to talk at first, but as each time he went to see the counsellor, it got easier, and he began to talk about his ordeal with Sonny, both times – the recent kidnapping and the time when he was abused all these years ago. It helped Danny to talk to a stranger; he knew he will never talk about his ordeals with his lovers. But it did help him to come to a decision.
Danny’s nightmares seemed to be getting less now, and he felt ready to go back to work.
So, he spoke to Mac, who agreed to let him go back to work. He was pleased.
Danny felt nervous as he stepped out of the elevator, into the labs. He was glad to be back, but it felt strange after a couple of months away. Danny knew that some people have found out about him, Mac and Don. Danny didn’t know how they have reacted, and as much as he tried to ask, either Don or Mac would tell him.
Danny sighed, and he stood in the middle of the corridor, taking in the surroundings, and he did not hear Hawkes coming up behind him.
“Hey, bro!” Hawkes said, slapping on Danny’s back; “You’re back!”
Danny turned to Hawkes, and smiled; “Hey, there!” and grabbed Hawkes’ hand, and hugged him.
“So how’s things, man?” Danny asked.
“Pretty much the same, really,” Hawkes shrugged, “expect that Lindsay is moaning about you and your boyfriends. She is saying how unfair is that you got two guys, and she doesn’t have anyone in her life!” Hawkes laughed, and Danny laughed along with him. It felt good to be back, and to be bantering with Hawkes.
Danny looked at Hawkes, who seemed to not be put off by the fact that he is with Mac and Danny, or even that he is gay.
“You don’t mind, man?” Danny asked, getting serious. Hawkes turned and faced him, putting a hand on his shoulder, “Bro, if you are happy, then I am happy!”
Danny grinned, “Thanks, man. That means a lot to me. Hey, wanna come for a game of basketball with me and Don on Saturday?”
“Sure, as long as you don’t get loved up in front of me, man!” Hawkes replied, and Danny laughed, telling Hawkes that he would try, and then told him that he will get back to Hawkes about what time etc. Hawkes nodded, and walked off.
Danny walked into one of the labs, and found Lindsay there.
“Hey, Montana, wanna any help?” Danny asked, causing Lindsay to jump, and she looked up.
“Danny! What are you doing here?”
“I am back to work!” Danny told her, and Lindsay smiled, “Cool, we needed you around.” Then Lindsay went back to work, which have taken Danny rather aback. It wasn’t like Lindsay to be so cold to him at all.
“Hey, what’s the matter?” Danny stepped forward, and Lindsay turned to Danny; “What’s the matter! You!” Lindsay waved her hands around, causing Danny to step back, and looked at Lindsay, as she told him, “I could not believe it when Mac announced that you and he were together, and then later I found out that Don was also your partner! I mean….how greedy you can be?? I have nobody and you have two guys! How selfish you can be!”
Danny was so shocked at the vulgar in Lindsay’s voice, that he stepped up to Lindsay, and looked into her eyes; “Don’t be a hypocritical! You were in love with me and Mac, don’t deny it. I always knew. I seen all the signs, I been there with Mac and Don. Don’t you dare tell me that I am greedy or selfish, when you knew how it felt to be in love with two people!”
Then Danny stepped back, and walked off, leaving Lindsay standing there, in shock. She didn’t realize that Danny knew about her feelings for him and for Mac. Lindsay put her head in her hands, feeling like an idiot. She didn’t mean to go off like that to Danny, not after what he has gone through.
Lindsay felt a couple of arms around her, and she looked up to find Stella standing there, and she put her head on Stella’s shoulder and sobbed. Stella rubbed Lindsay’s back, whispering shush into her ears. Stella has heard everything, and was not surprised. She gave a heavy sigh; once again she will have to be the one to smooth things out.
Meanwhile, Danny was so angry that he didn’t notice Adam coming his way, and he walked so fast that he bumped into Adam.
“Oh, man, I’m sorry!” Danny said to Adam.
Adam waved him off; “It’s okay, I wasn’t looking where I was going.” It was true enough, he was playing a game on his PSP, such a geek that he is, and not looking up to see Danny coming his way.
“Hey!” Adam just realized that Danny is back at work, “Are you back to work?”
Danny nodded, smiling, but a bit uncomfortable, unsure what Adam was going to say.
“Great to have you back, man!” Adam told Danny, “We should get a drink, to talk, it seems that there is a lot to catch up, man!”
Danny chuckled; “Okay, man, we will do that then!”
Adam gave a little wave, telling him that he had to go, and then he returned to his PSP and playing again, going down the corridor. Danny gave a quiet chuckle as he watched the geek playing on his PSP.
Danny shook his head and sighed, ‘what a day!’ But Danny was glad to be back, and he walked down to Mac's office, to fill him in on the day Danny had.
