Speed eyed his lover. Horatio had been nervous these past couple of days. Fidgeting, jumpy, and he practically screamed when Speed had gone looking for trouser socks for his suit. He had stared the redhead with wide eyes and backed away from the dresser.

Horatio had called him earlier in the day and asked him to meet him at their spot. Speed had grinned; it was a small Italian restaurant by the beach. They both had showed up one day for take out and ended up having dinner together.

They had talked for hours about life, their pasts, what they saw in the future. Horatio had surprised him by asking him over for dinner the next day. Speed had said yes and never regretted it.

The brunette stared at the circle of silver in the box. He looked up into worried yet hopeful blue eyes.
