Gil sat in his office going over his latest experiment. It had been a long night. Every muscle in his body hurt. He was in his eighteenth hour and there was no end in sight. He thought if he closed his eyes just for five minutes, he would be able to focus better. Gil knew he shouldn't let his mind wander because it always led to dangerous territory. This time was no exception.

Soft lips were gently caressing his neck and warm hands were stroking up and down his thighs. God, what a feeling! The pressure of Rick's body pressed against his was almost enough to push him over the edge. Please don't let this end. Reality is so much colder. To wake alone again is just too much. The doors barely audible creak was enough to rouse Gil from his delusions, but not before a breathless "Rick" escapes his lips.

Warrick came to stand by the desk with a slightly amused look on his face. Gil looked up into sea green eyes and realized he was no longer dreaming. For a moment time almost stood still. Gil could see from Rick's expression that he knew exactly what he's been dreaming about. Rick reached his hand and out and stroked the side of Gil's face. He whispered in his ear, "Let me take you home, baby. You need some sleep." Gil's heart was beating out of control and all he could manage was "yesssss."

Gil always had his dreams. His flights of fancy, but he never imagined that his hearts desire might feel the same way. Until now, Gil had walked through life with blinders on when it came to relationships. It was now time to take some risks and look at Rick for the first time with eyes wide open. Mirrored in those amazing green eyes he saw the same want and desire. Reality could be so much better than dreams, if given half a chance!!
