Title: Results
Author: CSI_Nightowl
Pairing: David/Nick

Spoilers: Redrum
Summary: Nick's angry with David.
Disclaimer: I don't own CSI or its characters. If I did there'd be much more Nick, David and Greg screen time.
A/N: This is just a little something I thought of today. It takes place soon after Redrum. I know the title is lame but I couldn't think of anything else. Reviews make me want to write more. ( :

David strolled to his car, glad to finally be able to leave the lab. Things had been strained since the whole reverse forensics fiasco. He hoped when Grissom came back everything would go back to normal.

"Hodges!"

Damn, so close to escaping, David thought. He turned to see Nick hurrying towards him. He looked pissed; of course, he'd look like that a lot lately.

"I'm off…" David's sentence was cut short when Nick grabbed him and shoved him against his car.

"Damn it, Hodges!"

"What the hell is wrong with you?" David struggled to get out of his grasp. "If you've put a dent in my car, I'll kill you." Somewhere in the back of his mind he thought his car should be the last thing he needed to be worried about, getting his face bashed in by the madman masquerading as Nick Stokes should be his only concern at the moment

"You fucking bastard!" Nick got in his face. "I always knew what a kiss ass you were but I thought it was only with Grissom and Ecklie."

"What are you going on about?" David tried to back away from the man but there wasn't anywhere to go.

"You gave my results to Catherine!"

David rolled his eyes, infuriating Nick even more.

"You know better then to give results to a CSI not working the case." Nick was so close now that David could feel his breath on his face.

"I know you don't like it but Catherine is our boss till Grissom gets back."

"Oh, so it's just you sucking up to the boss again. That figures." Nick shook his head in disgust.

David ignored the stab of pain Nick's words caused. He knew what people thought of him and it didn't bother him, except when it came to the man standing in front of him. He liked Nick, he liked him too much. He was suddenly very tired.

"Catherine came into the lab just as I got the results. She asked for them so I gave them to her. I didn't do it to suck up but to keep my job because she is the boss right now. If you have a problem with her taking the results, you should be talking to her."

Apparently that didn't do anything to calm Nick because he just stood there glaring at David.

"Stop being such an ass, Nick." Oh shit! He didn't say that, did he? When will he learn to keep his mouth shut?

David couldn't read the look on Nick's face but when he was yanked even closer he was sure he was going to get hit. He closed his eyes and braced him for… Nick's lips. Huh? Nick was kissing him? It only took him a few seconds to get over the shock and then he was kissing him back. When the need for air became too much, they broke apart.

"Sorry."

David was crushed. He stared down at his shoes, not daring to look at him.

"Hey." Nick put his finger under David's chin and gently pushed his head up. "I'm sorry I yelled at you. I'm not sorry I kissed you."

"I would have pissed you off sooner if I'd known it would result in that." David smirked.

Nick laughed. "You want to go get some breakfast?"

"Actually, I need to get home and feed the cat."

"Oh, okay." Disappointment was written all over Nick's face.

"But I could fix us something if you want to come over."

Nick grinned. "Uh, can you cook?"

"You'll be surprised at what I can do." David said suggestively.

Nick's pretty sure he was still blushing when they arrived at David's house.
