Challenge: 100 Drabbles – Horatio Caine/Timothy Speedle

The sunlight filtered through the curtains, drifting across the two bodies curled up together in the bed. Horatio blinked at the intrusion. He growled lightly and rolled away pulling Speed with him. The brunette muttered in his sleep and curled back up next to Horatio.

The small sunbeam moved across the bed, determined to wake up its occupants. Horatio blinked and glared at the offending curtains for not doing their job. He tried to shift again only to wake up his partner.

“H it’s five thirty on a Sunday we have off,” Speed grumbled

”Tell that to the damn sun.” Horatio rolled over, his back to the curtains.

The younger man snickered, got out of the bed, and closed the curtain, the room once again dark and free of pesky sunbeams. “Better?” He kissed the bare shoulder.

Horatio rolled onto his back sighing, “Now that I’m awake.”

Speed grinned before swooping down and stealing a deep kiss. Neither man saw that small sunbeam sneaking back into the room.
