"So, you ready?"

Gil winced when he heard Sara's voice, almost shrill with excitement.

"Ready for what?"

Gil relaxed. Nicky. He turned around and smiled at the Texan. "Breakfast. Wanna join us?" The question was out before he could stop it. He could hear Sara's barely suppressed growl, but kept his eyes fixated on Nick's dark ones.

The answering smile he got from him was as blinding as the sun over the desert, and Nick nodded. "Sure. Love to."

Gil quickly turned around before Sara could react and question him. Well, maybe this breakfast wouldn't be so bad after all.
