When Gil awoke the next morning his head felt like someone had run over it with a mac truck! He wasn't even sure where he was. The last thing he remembered was sitting on a bar stool. He had been so relieved when he found out that Jim was going to live - he indulged himself in a bit more alcohol than normal. Bits and pieces of the previous night flashed in his head, but none of it was completely clear. He was sure there had been someone with him, but he couldn't quite remember who. He knew he had been talking to someone and he was sure it was after he'd left the bar, but he didn't remember driving.

Gil's stomach lurched and he rolled over onto his side. That's when he came in contact with something hard and unyielding. At this point, Gil knew it was another body. Gil thought, 'Oh God, who is this?' Unfortunately, his question was soon answered. The other body stirred and rolled over to face Gil. She was radiant, with a glowing smile of triumph plastered all over her face. Gil really was sick now!

"Good morning, lover. Sleep well? That was the most amazing night, Gil. I knew deep down - you always loved me."

"Oh Shit! Sara, I'm so sorry, but I'm not sure how I got here. I don't remember much about last night. What exactly happened?"

"You don't remember, love?"

"Not a clue!"

"Oh my God! I can't believe you don't remember. It was beautiful, tender, passionate and uninhibited. You said I was the most beautiful person you had ever seen. You kept referring to my eyes. You said I had the most brilliant green eyes - which was a bit odd because my eyes are brown, but I over-looked that. I thought you had a bit much to drink, but you were perfectly coherent when we got to the motel. Please, tell me this was not a mistake?"

"Sara, I don't remember anything. I barely remember leaving the bar. I certainly did not plan on going to a motel room with you and as for the sex - I have no memory of it. Wasn't Warrick with us at the bar?"

"Yes! See, you do remember some of it. He was trying to get you to leave with him. He said you'd had to much to drink, but Tina showed up and dragged him out of there. That's when you chugged down two shots back to back and said let's go, babe."

"Holy Christ!"

"What's the problem? We had a good time and you finally realized you had feeling for me."

"Sara, I hate to burst your bubble, but I do not, nor have I ever had feelings for you. This was all a horrible mistake and it will never be repeated. Now, if you'll excuse me - I really have to go and throw up!

And poor Gil did just that. He puked until he thought his stomach lining was coming up. Visions of a naked Sara danced in his head, leading to nothing but dry heaves. He was really going to rip Warrick a new one for leaving him in the clutches of that vulture.

After this was all over and Gil had time to do some damage control - he was going to have a long talk with Warrick Brown. He'd even stoop to getting the man drunk if he had to. One way or the other, he was going to fuck the man of his dreams and look into real green eyes.

Gil exited the bathroom and looked down on a now sleeping Sara. This was a nightmare come true. He dressed and left the motel without a backwards glance.

'What the fuck was I thinking?'
