He missed Danny so badly.

Greg sighed, throwing the magazine he'd been trying to read aside and leaning his head back on the couch cushions, closing his eyes.

He wasn't going to feel sorry for himself. After all, he was the one who'd said that Danny should go on this tour. He had been the one to encourage his boyfriend to follow his dreams; he wasn't going to hold Danny back from doing what he loved.

And it wasn't like they didn't get to see each other. Danny came home every week, either on the weekends, or on a day during the week when he wasn't playing.

It wasn't easy, but it was working for them so far.

But what he really wanted was for Danny to be here all the time, for them to be able to spend time together very day. He missed having his boyfriend around.

This wasn't going to last forever, Greg reminded himself. The golfing tournament was only for a couple of months, and after that, Danny would be back home in Vegas. If he did well in this tournament, then he'd be able to qualify for the one that was held here in the city.

Greg had no doubt that he would do that. And once Danny was in that Vegas tournament, he'd go to as much of it as he was able to.

Work would keep him from doing that every day, but he would support Danny as much as he could. He just wished that he could do that now, while his boyfriend was away.

But he couldn't, Greg thought with a sigh. He had his own responsibilities, and he had to make them his first priority. Danny understood that, just like he understood that Danny needed to be able to do what he loved. They were making it work, one day at a time.

It would keep working for them, Greg told himself firmly. It had to. He wasn't going to let a little distance tear the two of them apart.

He would be a horrible boyfriend if he couldn't be patient.

He frowned when he heard a knock on the door; who could be here at this time of morning? He hadn't even gone to bed after work yet, so it was still early.

Getting up, he went to the door, running a hand through his hair. It was probably somebody with a package from UPS; he'd ordered a few dvd's, and even though things like that weren't usually delivered until later in the day, maybe this was an exception to the rule.

Greg pulled the door open, a friendly greeting on his lips for the delivery person -- and then his mouth fell open when he saw Danny standing there, a smile on his face.

Without a word, Greg flung himself into his boyfriend's waiting arms.
