Quote: "Order him a red cap and speedo." from The Life Aquatic

Greg stared across the dinner table, and chocolate colored eyes identical to his own stared back at him calmly.
His son.
Their son.
Greg didn't even know him anymore.
Really. You think you know everything about a person, and suddenly something happens and it changes everything.
Greg was devastated.
He and Cameron had been sitting across from each other for at least twenty minutes now, and neither of them had yet to utter a single word.
Normally Greg was vocal while arguing. Screaming and cursing until he got his way, but with Cameron he had learned it was easier to stoop to his level.
He was completely silent. He crossed his arms over his chest and stared at you. Cameron didn't need words to convey his anger, he could practically win an argument telepathically.
He got that from Nick.
Watching Nick and Cameron face off was enough to make Greg's hair stand on end.
Greg drummed his fingers on the table top.
"There's so many other things to do, Cameron. You didn't have to resort to this."
Cameron's expression remained determined, and he remained silent.
"You know your father and I love you very much, and we always will no matter what you decide to do, but... Cameron-"
"No."
Greg sighed. He may have inherited Nick's arguing style, but he had definitely inherited Greg's stubbornness.
That's it.
Greg stood up, the chair making a loud noise as it scraped across the floor.
Cameron Mitchell Sanders! I demand that you..." But his words died away as those eyes continued to bore into him.
His shoulders slumped and Nick stuck his head into the kitchen.
"Order him a red cap and Speedo." Greg said sounding defeated. The seven year old boy's expression changed quickly into a look of elation as he jumped out of his chair and wrapped his arms around Greg's leg, hugging it tightly.
Nick stepped in and wrapped his arms around him, smiling warmly.
"It's just the swim team, G. He'll be okay."
"He could have joined the chess club! Science club!" He grudgingly ruffled a hand through their son's sandy blond hair. "Now I’ve lost him forever to the jock side."
Nick looked offended, but decided not to say anything.
They had won this battle, and for now, that was fine.
