Title: Cause of Death: The Wiggles
Author: SongStar
Pairing: Nick/Warrick
Rating: G
Series/Sequel: Possibly
Warnings: none
Authors Note: I am in the process of relocating and I'm living with a friend who has a 2 year old son. He has only one Wiggles tape and its the Christmas one, so it gets played alot. He really, really likes it for some reason. This fic was inspired by my umpteenth time of watching it. (And after this past week, make that a bunch more)
Summary: Warrick tells Nick that his death certificate is going to say that he died from watching the Wiggles too much.

Nick Stokes was stretched out on his couch reading, when a video taped was plopped in front of him. Somewhat startled, he looked over to find the owner of the arm, his two and a half year old daughter Kaitlyn, looking back at him.

"Kaitlyn, it's past your bedtime. What are you doing up?" he asked. "Where's daddy?"

"Daddy seep," she said. "Iggles." she added, with a giggle.

Nick put his book down, picked up the tape and sat up. "Daddy's asleep?" he asked her.

The little girl nodded, and pointed towards the entertainment center and then at the tape in Nick's hand "Iggles," she repeated.

"Warrick, I'm gonna kill you," he thought to himself. "Dummy probably fell asleep, singing her to sleep."

"Iggles," Kaitlyn repeated again, sounding somewhat agitated now.

"Don't you want to watch Barney?" Nick asked, reasonably. The only Wiggles tape they had was the stupid Christmas one and it was really getting on Nick's nerves, because it was his daughter's favorite and it got played way to much. He made a mental note to go pick up a few more.

Kaitlyn shook her head and pointed at the tape. Nick, surrendering to the inevitable, got up off the couch to put the tape in. He was almost to the TV, when he heard a familiar voice.

"What's going on?"

Nick turned around. "Your daughter is still awake," he told Warrick, trying to sound irritated, but failing.

Warrick had the grace to look sheepish. "Sorry. I think while I was trying to get her to go to sleep, I made me go to sleep instead."

"Uh huh," Nick commented dryly.

Warrick shrugged. "What does she want to watch?"

Nick frowned. "Take a guess."

"Aw man," Warrick complained. "Not that one again."

"Yeah," Nick responded.

Warrick crossed his arms. "You know. On my death certificate, they are gonna have to put my cause of death as having died from watching the Wiggles Christmas tape one to many times."

"Well," Nick told him, as he turned back towards the TV, after catching a glimpse of a rather irritated little girl. "That's why you're going to buy some more."

"Me?"

"Yeah you," Nick told him.

Warrick opened his mouth and then closed it right back, settling for just rolling his eyes.

Nick got the tape in and as it started, he patted the little girl on the head "There you go, missy." he said "Hopefully, she'll fall asleep while this plays," he added to himself.

"Yeah!" the little girl clapped and jumped up and down. Then again, maybe not.

"You know," Warrick started to say as he turned towards the hallway. "I think I hear my grandmother calling me."

"Oh no you don't," Nick said, as he moved over to the couch and sat down. "Your going to sit right here," he patted the seat next to.

"And what if I don't."

Nick just turned his head and gave Warrick a look. After a moment, Warrick took the hint and sat down beside Nick.

"I hate my life," Warrick muttered.

"No you don't," Nick said, patting him on the knee.

Warrick looked over at a smiling Nick and then at their daughter, who was currently attempting to settle down so she could watch her show. "Your right. I don't," he said quietly. "This tape is just gonna be the death of me."

Nick just sniggered.
