Greg stepped out of the shower, reaching for the towel he'd left on the counter to dry himself off, then hesitating as he glanced at himself in the mirror. He didn't pick up the towel, moving closer to the mirror instead, studying his reflection.

What was it about him that Ryan found so attractive? He wasn't ulgy by any stretch of the imagination; he could even say that he was a good-looking man. But he couldn't see anything extraordinary about himself that would have made Ryan fall for him.

Greg's lips quirked in a wry smile at the thought; Ryan would probably say the same thing about himself, if he was the one standing here in front of the mirror. His boyfriend often protested that he wasn't that great-looking when Greg remarked on his looks.

That was one thing they definitely had in common, Greg told himself with a soft laugh. Neither one of them was good at taking compliments gracefully. Ryan would simply shrug and smile; he himself had the tendency to blush when anyone complimented him.

It just didn't seem possible that there was anything about him to have attracted Ryan so instantaneously -- at least nothing that he could see, Greg thought as he studied his face in the mirror. There wasn't one thing about himself that he thought stood out.

Maybe Ryan had just been able to look deeper, to see something about him that had appealed to his inner senses. Maybe there had just been that spark of interest in his eyes when he'd first seen Ryan that had found an answering flame within Ryan's soul.

There was no telling what it was that had drawn Ryan to him, he concluded. Certainly not his body, that was for sure. Greg stepped back from the mirror, frowning. He didn't look bad at all with his clothes off -- but when Ryan had first seen him, he hadn't been naked.

He thought that he was far too thin, but he'd always had trouble gaining weight. He'd always been able to eat like a horse and not gain so much as an ounce; he'd actually had people get annoyed at him for that ability, but it was one that he wished he didn't have.

So it wasn't his face, and it definitely wasn't his body. That only left something that Ryan had seen in him that wasn't readily apparent at first glance -- or was it? After all, Ryan had only seen him once before he'd fallen head over heels in love.

Well, that was what he said, Greg thought with another wry smile at his reflection. Maybe that had just been the attraction starting to brew; it might not have been love at first sight, but just a certain interest. Love at first sight wasn't really possible.

Or was it? He had to wonder about that. Something within him had been drawn towards Ryan from that first hello, from that first smile. But then, he'd thought that Ryan was the most beautiful creature he'd ever seen, right from the first glimpse he'd had of his lover.

"Greg? Can I come in?" Ryan knocked at the bathroom room, pushing it open when Greg didn't answer immediately. "I just wondered why you were taking so long to dry off after you'd showered." Ryan's voice trailed off, a frown creasing his brow as he entered the room.

Greg could feel the embarrassing blush coloring his cheeks; he wished that he didn't blush every time he was even the slightest bit discomfited about something. "I was just, errr, wondering what it is about me that made you fall in love with me at first sight."

"Really?" Ryan moved to stand behind Greg, wrapping strong arms around his waist and resting his chin on his boyfriend's shoulder. "I can't pick out just one thing about you that attracted me, baby. It was .... well, the whole package. Everything at once."

"Come on, Ry, you couldn't have seen everything about me at first glance!" Greg admonished his lover with a laugh. "I've just never thought I was the kind of person who inspired that kind of instant passion. I can't help wondering just what you saw in me when we first met."

"I don't know exactly what it was," Ryan said, his voice very soft and husky. "I just know that I looked into your eyes, and the next thing I knew, I felt like I'd been hit by the proverbial ton of bricks. I knew I was in love, even if I might not have had words for the feeling at the time."

"I wouldn't have thought a guy like you would look at me twice," Greg murmured, leaning back against Ryan and closing his eyes, his hands moving to rest on top of Ryan's hands at his waist. "I'm not a bad-looking guy, but you deserve somebody perfect."

"To me, you are perfect," Ryan whispered into his ear, before moving his mouth downward to trail kisses down the slender column of Greg's throat. "Neither of us are perfect apart, Greg. But when we're together, we're invincible. Or at least, we're perfect for each other."

"I've never been anywhere close to perfect," Greg said with a wry laugh. "I've always thought I was kind of a fuckup at a lot of things -- especially relationships. The only thing I'm really good at is my job. At least, that's how I felt until I met you."

"Baby, you don't have to be perfect. A perfect person would be really dull and boring," Ryan told him, his soft laugh punctuating his words. "You're close enough to perfect for me, Greg. And I love you exactly the way you are. You're perfect for me, and that's what counts."

"I never thought I'd find the person who was perfect for me," Greg murmured, turning in Ryan's arms to face his boyfriend and nuzzling his cheek against the other man's. "And I never thought I'd find anybody who'd love me just the way I am. I got lucky when I found you."

"I knew that coming to Vegas was going to be good for me -- I just didn't know how good," Ryan said with soft laugh. "I never expected to find the love of my life here. But that's what I've found -- and I'll be grateful to destiny every day for bringing you into my life."

"You coming to Vegas was the best thing that ever happened to me," Greg told him, sliding his own arms around Ryan's waist and pulling his boyfriend close against his nude body. "In more ways than I can count. Thanks for being here, Ry."

"Thank you for letting me be here with you," Ryan whispered as he lowered his head to capture Greg's soft lips with his own. As the kiss intensified, his hands moved down his boyfriend's back, the only thought in his mind just how perfect the two of them were for each other.
