They were back home again, after a long flight.

Greg yawned and raised his arms above his head, stretching languorously. They were going to take their time getting off the plane; there was no reason to hurry.

Already Paris felt like a long-ago dream; it didn't seem possible that only yesterday they had been having lunch in an outdoor café, and sleeping in a beautiful hotel room in that city of romance. Now they were back home, back in the place where they'd started.

But he didn't mind being back here, Greg thought with a smile. In fact, he was ready to be home, ready to go back to work tomorrow night.

He was ready to jump back into the life he and Ryan led here.

The dream of Paris had been wonderful; they'd had a terrific time there, and they'd brought back a lot of memories that he knew would last a lifetime.

They'd even go back there, probably more than once. He and Ryan had both loved Paris so much that he was sure they would want to return, and hopefully they'd be able to do that when they had another vacation. Or maybe the next time they'd go to another romantic city.

Whatever they decided to do on their next vacation, this one had been wonderful. It had been a dream come true, but all dreams had to end sometime.

Venice, Greg thought, standing up and getting his suitcase down before reaching for Ryan's. They could go to Venice. He'd always wanted to ride in a gondola.

He and Ryan in a gondola, drifting slowly down a canal on a moonlit night, the waves lapping around them, the boat swaying gently as the gondolier sang a song of love in Italian, his voice lilting .... the two of them moving closer together until their lips brushed, the kiss deepening ....

Greg pulled his thoughts away from that entrancing inner vision. It would happen sometime, but now wasn't the time to focus on the dream of a romantic Italian vacation.

Ryan was standing up, reaching for his suitcase with a smile.

"I can't wait to get home and see Wolfie, and sleep in our own bed tonight," he said softly. "Maybe even make love in our own bed, if you're not too tired."

Greg couldn't help smiling as he handed his boyfriend the suitcase and their fingers brushed each other. "I'm never too tired for that, even with jet lag, baby," he whispered, not caring if anyone around them heard what he was saying. "I'll be glad to see Wolfie and be home, too."

And he was. Paris had been a beautiful dream, and one that he wanted to have again sometime. But their real life was a wonderful dream, as well. One that he fully embraced.

It was time for this part of their dream to start again, and he was ready for it.
