"I have to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"Do you think that you and I would ever, you know, be together?"

"What are you asking? If you and I would ever be a couple?"

"Yes, exactly."

"No, I don't think so."

"Why not?"

"It would never work and I don't like getting involved with friends. Especially friends I've known for a long time and friends I work with."

"That doesn't make any sense. It's better to get to know a friend than it is a stranger."

"Look, this discussion is over. I said what I needed to say."

"You never said you didn't like me, so it's obvious you do right?"

"I'm not talking about this anymore."

"Come on. If we like each other, then we should do something about it."

"No we shouldn't and I'll leave it at that."

"No you won't. I think we need to talk about this more."

Pulling over to the side of the road.

"I do like you, but I don't want to do anything about it. Let's just move on. I can't believe I let this conversation start in the first place."

Kiss.

"What was that?!"

"I wanted to see how it felt and I wanted to show you."

Thinking.

"Did you like it?"

"That's not the point."

"Whatever, you know you liked it and I know you want to do it again."

"Leave me alone."

Kiss.

"Cut that out."

"You like it."

Kiss.

"I don't want this."

Kiss.

Deeper kiss.

"No, this has to stop."

"Why?"

"Because this can't happen, it'll get in the way of everything."

"No, it won't. Not if we don't let it."

Kiss again.

"Stop that."

Pushing away.

"Please, I think I love you."

"You can't love me, you..."

"What, hardly know you? I know you really well, better than you think."

"That's not what I was going to say."

"Just give it a chance, a week?"

"I already gave you my answer."

Kiss.

"Say you don't love me then."

Silence.

"Come on, I'll stop if you say you that you don't love me."

"I can't."

"Why? You don't want this to happen; then you obviously don't love me, right?"

"I do like you, a lot."

"Then say you don't love me."

"I do love you."

Hard kiss.

"I didn't say that was an invitation to kiss me."

"You told me you loved me, if that's not an invitation, what is?"

"We need to get to work."

"We can't work; we won't be able to concentrate well if we don't get this taken care of."

"Please, just drop this. I can't let this happen."

"Yes you can."

"No."

"Please, I've wanted this for so long and now that I know you love me, I can't just let it go."

"No."

Tears falling.

"Please, I love you so much."

"Stop crying, it won't change anything."

Grabbing his hand.

"This feels so right."

Kiss.

Longer kiss.

Pause.

"Tell me it doesn't feel right."

"I do love you, but I'm afraid of hurting you. I don't know if I can commit."

"I already told you, if it doesn't work, I don't care."

Kiss.

"I still don't know."

"Please, I can't beg you anymore."

"You don't have to beg, I already love you."

"Say you'll be with me."

Deep breath.

"I'll be with you."

Long, deep kiss.

"Thank you so much. You've given me the world."

Smiling.

"You're welcome."

Light kiss.

"I love you."

"I love you too, Greg."
