Ryan leaned his head back against the seat, closing his eyes.

He went back over their last night in Paris in his mind, a smile curving his lips as they did so. Making love in their hotel room, in the moonlight, enjoying every moment of it.

Somehow, their lovemaking last night had seemed more romantic than it had ever been, both of them taking their time and savoring every second of everything they'd done. They had made love nearly all night, the touching and kissing never-ending. It had been a magical night.

And now, they were leaving Paris and heading home to Las Vegas. He was sad to leave, but in a way, he'd had enough of the wonderland they'd been in for a while.

He'd loved Paris, but it wasn't the real world for him.

Real life was being back in the two apartments he and Greg shared in Vegas, going to work every night, taking care of their puppy, and loving each other.

Paris was a treasured memory, and he would always be grateful to Russell for giving it to them. But now it was time to close the book on their fairyland, to go back home and immerse themselves in their jobs and in the real world again after having taken the time to relax and recharge.

Ryan hoped that the two of them would go back to Paris one day. Maybe they could even make this a vacation they took every couple of years, a home away from home.

Maybe one day they would even live in Paris, once they had retired, he thought with a smile, not opening his eyes. They would grow old together there.

All right, so maybe that was a pipe dream, Ryan told himself. But he knew that they would have treasured memories of Paris from this first trip there, and hopefully from more to come. It was a place of magic and beauty, and it had profoundly touched them both.

He'd never forget the strolls over the Seine, the stars twinkling in the velvety dark sky as they had stood on the bridge over those shimmering waters and embraced.

He'd never forget how they had declared their love under those stars.

This had been the best vacation he could have ever had, Ryan thought, reaching for Greg's hand on the armrest and twining their fingers together.

It had been all the better because he hadn't been alone; he'd had the love of his life to share the time with. Paris would have been fun on his own, but it had been an even more magical place that had become filled with treasured memories simply because he could share those memories with Greg.

He turned his head to smile at his boyfriend, feeling Greg's fingers close around his and seeing the sleepy smile on his lover's face, his heart turning over at the sight.

The memories they'd made on this vacation would last a lifetime.
